I have found that the 'pay' sites often use 'tricks' to get you to part with money.
I've found a number of them that allow you to register and browse without having to part with any money, but require you to part with a significant sum in order to read messages.
In my experience, one can receive numerous messages from members while on free member status, but once you have paid, not only do the messages dry up, but if you reply to the messages you received as a free member, that is where the conversation ends.
I even found one pay dating site that had a member on there that I actually knew personally. The system generated a message from her.
Rather than pay up to read it, I contacted her through facebook to ask if she'd messaged me on this dating site - which she hadn't.
I then contacted the site owners to point out that I had very clearly caught them in the act of misleading users - they denied it of course, but I cited the 'evidence' I had and demanded they delete my account and any and all personal data they had on me.
In my opinion, this sort of practice only ruins the reputation of 'pay' dating sites.
And it seems that they're all at it. |

I tend to have far more success on vanilla sites - although I haven't tried M.com.
But I'd say vanilla.This site, for example, is particularly difficult to get on meets on - well that's my experience anyway.
But you do find that some women are on both, yes. |

I've never understood the whole uniform dating bollocks!
A site for people in uniform or people who like uniforms. So - theoretically - anyone!
And does tesco, asda or McD's count as a uniform?

I have been on match and pof before but they seem to be surprised about my "hobbies and experience" lol.
I don't bother now as I would need to meet ladies too anyway so stick with fab. Every so often I re join but don't tend to find anyone I click with. |

I actually met my partner over 2 years ago on FAB, both not looking for a relationship but love at first sight so you do meet the right person when your not looking, now got the best of both worlds as we swing together ?? |

Yes they are uniformed but the emergency services and the army are a more attractive prospect.
