As I believe that there is no such thing as a stupid question, I wonder if some of you could perhaps provide a little enlightenment.
On occasion, I have seen the term 'Free House' mentioned in Statuses.
Is there a general consensus on what this means or, as it appears with many things on fab, is it open to interpretation.
For example, I would take this to mean that anyone can turn up for fun - but of course, they would be required to message for details - so of course, the user who had posted the original status can effectively screen out those that they are not interested in meeting - and thereby it's not really a free house after all.
What's everyone else's take on this? |

"Yer I would think it means their house is free for them to use ! Who ever lives with them is out !
I may be wrong tho ! "
That's how I'd read it.
In Scotland, it's called an 'empty'. |

Is it in the context of 'we've got a free house next Saturday / Sunday blah, blah, blah?' If so, then I would take it as meaning that their kids / flatmate won't be around so they're free to play and / or accommodate. |

I'd say this too, they are home alone and would be able to accommodate, not there looking for loads of people to turn up |
