Hold out on Tuesday they will be announcing a new iPhone or maybe 2 new iPhones if the rumours are anything to go by.
And even if you don't want any of the new ones the current ones will go down in price |

Dont go apple, yes they are good for what they do, will not take this away from them. Cant do nothing with them tho, update memory or stream certain vids. Cant replace battery either without a engineering degree lol. I say samsung, anything from galaxy s3 or above or sony z2. Both android. I myself prefer the samsung, such an amazing phone and easy to use. Hope this helps. |

Samsung fan here, and a lot of choices depending on your budget. I have had apple in the past, ok until your battery gives up, you cant just swap them over like many phones.
Android apps seem more plentiful and in many cases cheaper or free. |

as others have said... wait till tuesday when the iphone 6 is announced... and on wednesday for the 1st reviews...
i am waiting to see if the rumoured 5.5inch iphone is coming out before making any decisions... |

Have to disagree - £12 and screwdrivers included I've just changed the battery on my old iPhone 4s and I very definitely don't have my degree in engineering and it took less than 5 mins!!
I'm an iPhone fan obviously so I'd vote iPhone but wish I'd waited before upgrading to see what the 6 has to offer  |

I dont understand this android and iphone hated of each other?!? Why slate a phone company? Yes you dont like a phone, but why tell other not to buy one? Shouldnt it be someones choice to buy what they want? Ie i think the s5 is great! not, i think the s5 is great! dont buy an iphone they are crap.
Its personal taste everyone is different, yes phones are not liked or break from time to time anything with a moving/electrical part can. |

I just had to power up my ten year old nokia as my smart phone was flat. The old one is tiny, lightweight and makes better quality calls.
Problem with new phones that cost more than latops is their sheer size/weight and the lousy battery life. Why do phones cost so much?
Soon be time for me to upgrade...am watching this thread for more ideas..lol |

Its competition. Plus other things I am sure.
I dislike paying more for a name. If a product is worth the price then great but I know with iPhone you are also paying massively for a name.
I know nout about cars but pretty sure you pay a darn site more for a merc than another car of the same standard. You are also paying massively for a name. |

I have had HTC and now a 5s, loved both. I have never had a windows phone so can't comment on them.
Phones don't really cost a lot when you think what they can do these days. Whatever you buy protect it and it should last a few years. |

Depends what you want from a phone. If you're only changing because the current one is dying...get another one the same!
I've used iphones, Samsung, and BlackBerry, and am still happy with the latter. Not being the biggest seller doesn't mean it's not the best for my needs. |
