Pissing up lamp posts

Anybody who has numerous verifications within a short period of time, do you display them proudly?
I know I have one or two veri's off various people, but if I come across a profile with several off the same profile, I find it off putting, as if they are there to put off others from messaging or meeting them. Territory marking if you will.

if I see a lovely mans profile, then see he has been verified 12 times in 4 months by the same woman and just 1 couple, I'd feel like I'd get stalked or something! Perhaps I'm just overthinking it. |

I would be the same, if I see a profile that has multiple veri's off the same person, I tend to steer clear.
Although, a lot of profiles might be in the same position but the profile has chosen not to display them all - so in those cases you wouldn't know anyway, but still might end up getting stalked…..
There is nothing like gut instinct though when you start chatting or when you have met someone. |

Wouldn't make a difference how many verifications one person left. Some people like displaying them some don't. If I like someone after talking to them I will meet them |

Depends on what you consider verifications to mean.
Personally, my first two veri's are from the same couple.
I like to look at this from a positive point of view. I.e. They enjoyed the experience so much they came back for more.
I don't consider it territory marking at all.
What I do find disturbing about some veri's is when they are from someone who's known them for ages etc etc rather from an actual meet arranged through the site.
Those are the ones I tend to give a wide berth to. |

To be honest. I barely read verifications. I'd much rather get to know her than those that she has already met. I can make my own mind up if she is for me or not without having a look at the veri.
If anybody begins stalking. That's their problem. Not mine. They need to grow up and pull their finger out.

see I'm ok with that.
Its the lady's who insist in every veri that he is the best, keeping him to myself, treat him right or you'll have me to answer to....those types.
I don't usually take much notice of veri's, as long as there are recent meets, but just cant help noticing the territory marking ones.  |

I don't go near people that have had their territory well and truly marked by the same person
Its not always the amount of verifications from the same person its the content of them  |

Because it indicates to me that someone has tried to bypass the system - as it were.
I've seen people post statuses asking for others to verify them etc.
Not necessarily saying I would avoid ALL profiles with such veri's but it certainly makes me more careful.
Might be because I had a no-show from a verified user who had such verifiactions only.
I can also understand now why some users won't meet those with hidden veri's either. |

I don't like the 'pissing up lamp post' kinda varies either and although I have and have left 3 for the same profile they are over six months.
I also try to write about how much fun we had or they were and encourage others to look at meeting them.
The issue I've had which really gets me annoyed is after a meet receiving a message from someone I haven't spoken to before, saying they have spoken to bla.....bla and as they are friends can they come round for a bit if what bla.....bla had...  now that really is pissing up lamp posts  |

i only feel the need to show one by any one person....
but it does feel there is a bit of "Territory marking" going on when you read multiple veri's from the same person....

Because it indicates to me that someone has tried to bypass the system - as it were.

There are some that leave territory marking veri's, more in the content than the number of veri's tho.
also appears occasionally in the 'shag, pass, kiss or who do you fancy' type threads. |

I have nearly 200 verified meets....from various sources....and yes some are multiple ones....but none are stalkers. The one I see most often is an ex member.....and she is very aware I'm still on here and encourages me to play. |

I don't care about veris. After chatting in the forums, I know how opinions can vary hugely. I got one or two just to get verified so people know we are genuine. After these, I haven't asked anyone to verify us |
