How to lose friends and alienate yourself
Jump to: Newest in thread
Well there's no doubt this place is full of some very lovely, sexy people in all shapes, sizes and ages.
But its about time I put it out there....tattooes are such a turn off!
From the quirky to the deep meaningful ones I think I dislike them all, in my opinion it's fast becoming your more likely your standout by not having one which I think is a bit ironic.
It is of course a personal choice to have one and their right is their own but I find an un-inked thigh, back or bum so much sexier. |

Whilst I like tattoos on a man, I dont like them on women. However, I recently took my son to a water park and I swear I knew every child's name in there just by reading mens backs!! I agree with you that you stand out more if you dont have one now |

"I love tattoos ..esp full sleeves on a man..fucking sexy!!!
Yep I feel I'm on a hiding here, I think I'm in the minority lol"
You are entitled to voice your opinion on anything you see fit .
We both have tattoos , and love them . As do the people we meet .
It doesn't really matter that you may be on a hiding to nothing on this one does it ?
Whatever your reasoning for posting , it's done now , and at least you were honest in voicing your thoughts .

I'm actually with the OP here.
A small, discreet tattoo or 2 looks great. But I'm not a huge fan of big / multiple tattoos all over a lady.
Live for today of course, and they can look good on a fit, lithe, firm young body but I'm always thinking what are they going to look like as a pensioner? Ha!
I wonder how many people who are perfectly happy with them now will look back in 20 years time and say 'WTF was I thinking!?'
Only my opinion of course, like the OP I think I'm in a minority! |

I think exactly the same but only about women with tattoos. I look at very mature women with them and I think they are so unattractive. A bit unfair and sexist of me I know |

Fair enough , but since the post is in swingers chat , what people think generally , doesn't really matter .
Although we love tattoos , we don't have an opinion of those who don't have them .
Nor do we necessarily prefer those who do have them .
Would anyone make a conscious decision not to play with a person simply because they have tattoos ? |

Some can be good as long as they are tastefully done especially on a woman. One or two on a man isn't bad. If you get to many however if gives off the look of a convict ( sorry our opinion.) and we don't find them appealing at all. |

I love my tattoos. I have 2, both very personal to me.
Anyone got a problem with them, then I'm not forcing them to meet.
How will I feel about them when I'm old... well on the non-senile days, I'll love them the same way as I love every scar and mark - they tell my story, who I am and whats taken me to this point in my life. On the dotty days, I won't even know they are there, but I'll be too busy trying to remember where the toilet is so I don't piss my pants, or accusing the old woman next to me of stealing my pandrops! |

I hate it when people say, what are your tattoos going to look like when you're old?
Erm....who gives a shit, most people can't see them now and most people won't when I'm old.
It is a shame that it's become so much of an accessory now as some of us still just get them because we like/want/have a deeper meaning for getting one.
Obviously each to their own though and everybody has their turn offs... |

Personally...even if a guy was v cute with a great personality....If he was civered In tats he just wouldn't be my type.. maybe that's tattooist of me...but that is how I feel. One or two well placed tattoos on a man I could probably cope with though. |

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you) |
This is why the site is so good, it caters to all preferences. My husband has some tattoos, I have quite a few
I don't choose meets on the basis of their tattoo status but I do enjoy looking at and meeting people with tattoos. So either is good in my world.
I wouldn't meet with someone who disliked or was disapproving because there are plenty of other people out there who are either not bothered or actively enjoy them |

"From my perspective I wouldn't not meet anyone or be friends with them if they had tattoos even though I've already declared that lots of tattoos are not really my thing.
I'm not that shallow that I can't look beyond some ink to decide what is attractive.
It's interesting that so many inked people are getting defensive on here (or at least seem to be - interpreting the mood of the written word is often difficult of course).
As 'single' men on here we are always told to just accept it if we're not what people are looking for and move on (quite right too) but change 'single men' to 'inked people' that you don't want to shag and it becomes more contentious!
Just an observation "
To some people its just a tattoo and to others it's part of their alternative identity and by passing judgement on it, they may feel that their lifestyle is being attacked and so become defensive..
We are both inked and like other inked people but don't really care as long as we like someone |

Tbh I'm a little offended by the op, having tattoos defines you just as much as not having tattoos define you.
I've not lost any friends or been alienated from having tattoos, in fact it often opens up conversations with complete strangers
If you don't like them that's fine that part dosnt bother me as were are each our own person
Think the title of your thread is insulting though |

Yes, we do most of our playing at clubs and we simply would not play with people who have more than one or two discreet tattoos. The same as we don't play with very large people. It about aesthetics, we need to find someone attractive before we play and how they look is the major part of that |

I am sufficiently arrogant to find this remark appeals to my ego. But sufficiently honest to admit one of the main reasons I am ink free is the aversion to having explain some weird small meaningless tat in amway that is more convincing than "Well it was supposed mto be a Zimbabwe bird, but it was so painful I wimped out"

Being into rock music, tattoos have always been round in the places i hang out and the cultureand I think women look great with tattoos, my favourite currently are thigh pieces.
The difference now is that everyone is getting tattooed up and not always by good tattooers. And people seem to be getting a lot of face tattoos now. That could be something the regret big time.

Well by the time I (Mr) am old and senile I don't think I will have much skin left. I was even debating tattooing my member in the same style as the rest but I chickened out.
The Mrs is has a sleeve in the process of being completed and one down her side.
I know quite a few people who can't stand tattoos. You are not OP.

I think there are some very unique tattoos out there, real pieces of art but in the main I'm not a fan much these days. There are too many generic and bad ones, a tattoo doesn't seem to be something people are really passionate about anymore just something people do because it's a fashion. Sleeve tattoos have lost all appeal for me now every Tom, Dick and Jane has one. This isn't a hard and fast rule but I find people without tattoos catch my interest more these days and that hasn't always been the case. Just my opinion. |

I have 6 tattoos and a number of piercings . I always say up front about them as fully respect they aren't everyone's cup of tea. All the years swinging i have only received postative responses to them . If a person doesn't wish to meet me due to my inks then I have no issue with that .plenty of people on here who don't worry about them I can meet .

No.....you're just not getting it are you?!
if you read my post correctly you will see I am explaining to you that the OP meant that he will alienate & not make himself friends by not liking tattoos....NOT the people that have them...... So he's not being disrespectful...!!!
As to having an asshole.....
Yes you do have one and I am sure it is delightful and would not alienate me at all "

"Well there's no doubt this place is full of some very lovely, sexy people in all shapes, sizes and ages.
But its about time I put it out there....tattooes are such a turn off!
From the quirky to the deep meaningful ones I think I dislike them all, in my opinion it's fast becoming your more likely your standout by not having one which I think is a bit ironic.
It is of course a personal choice to have one and their right is their own but I find an un-inked thigh, back or bum so much sexier."
Such a good thing that we all don't like/dislike the same thing as I love my tatts hubby does too x |
