Only way is to Block them, and of course if you subsequently unblock, then it reappears

Slightly different point, why can you not delete verifications that you do not want to display (without need to block people)

It seems a bit rough on the lady to delete it. It's not her fault. Just block or delete messages. Or point out you aren't a receptionist, unless it is Saturday and you are roleplaying.
