it's safe in that nobody can get your phone number or personal details from it.
they can download your pics and videos if you send them any, so don't send anything you don't want to be seen.
personally i like kik but added way too many people to it and cba to speak to half of them, especially the ones with no profile pics coz i can't remember who they are any more. so i removed them, you do this by going to the chat box, then swiping their name and cicking the - button. |

You can send pictures through a bomb or something. The picture then only last for say 5 seconds when they open it then it is wiped. Don't know how to do it or what it's called but had people send it to me like that. |

"Sorry guys don't like it. Too many stalker types x"
how can people stalk you unless you've given them your kik alias.
if them come across as stalkerish once youve added them then click on the block button. |

Check the t&c's - not many look at how much control the apps on their phones want.
I uninstalled kik after it wanted the ability to send messages to all my contacts.
Really?!!! - d'you want kik to invite your kids & parents to kik for you?
I didn't think so. |

I have both but prefer whatsapp as I know when people are online but have sent pics over kik. I have to trust him. I know you will think I'm stupid. Maybe so |

I have kik and whatsapp. Have used both for a couple of years. I like the kik app for the privacy of no phone number exchange. You can send a photo bomb not "snapchat" that deletes in seconds. I've never had an issue with it and you can block profiles if needed! |

Hi all.
Love using Kik due to it being discreet.
Been having lots of fun since I started using it.
With regards to it accessing your contacts, you get to choose whether or not you want to allow this when you install, so you can say no.
As for not being sure about sending pictures to someone you don't know, don't send anything you don't want to show until you are sure you can trust that person.
Love the app! |
