Many ladies on here have curvy as there body shape on here but when you look they are not curvy but simply overweight!!!

Id define curvy as being able to be confident with the shape your at, not 9stone, 12 or 15. Everyone has lumps and bumps and without the photoshop Kim Kardashian has them too.

Curvy is whatever you want it to be. ..different people have different views on what is and what is just fat/large etc etc ..best to make up your own mind by looking at photos and profile description  |

curvy means you have a waist, boobs, and bum, that are all curved. can be skinny, obese, or average size but all these people are curvy.

Kim Kardasian and Susan Boyle are both curvy. They have waist, hips, boobs and bum that are curved not in a straight line. If you don't like how someone had described themselves move onto the next profile. |

Curvy is anything the person describing them as such wants it to be. Everyone's view of what it is will vary, like what everyone's view of a time waster is. If you don't like or agree with the users description of themselves then move on. |

Curvy to me goes in to a defined waist and back out again. It's not a dress size, it's a shape - you can be a curvy size 8, or a curvy size 18.
I personally wouldn't describe Subo as curvy Then again, I'm sure others wouldn't describe me as it either.
If people have/ send body pics just make your own mind up and don't worry about the word they use to describe their body shape! |

Curvy is subjective and does it really matter how someone describes themselves. If you look at their photos and they are not appealing to you move on til you find someone who is.
There have been multiple threads on this subject and the only thing to come out of them is that everyone has a different definition of what curvy means. Ultimately its just a word! |

It's (imo) an out-in-out thing - a definite waist indent front on with (if seen from side on) stomach smaller than boobs. Nigella was curvy even when several dress sizes larger than she is now. |

Who are any of us to question what word someone chooses to discribe themselves ? If you are able to see pictures and dont like what you see ,for what ever reason, why not Consentrate on those who tick your boxes and not feel compelled to disrespect those who don't ?

There is nothing worse than being delusional , and nothing better than being happy , content and confident with yourself .
We have had some of our best fun with large girls who are the latter , but they have happily declared themselves as large or fabulous on here .
The large ladies on here who describe themselves as curvy , are far less likely to have the confidence and attitude of the honest ones from our experience .

I see curvy as slim with shape, i don't believe a size 18/20+ woman is curvy, when you get to that size things start to hang, if you have rolls in your back, a over hang on belly and your nipples point to the floor to me that's not curvy even if you waist is smaller than your hips

I class myself as curvy as that's how 2wheels would describe me. I have boobs, a defined waist (sometimes accentuated by an underbust corset AKA cheating!) and a bum. I am overweight/thick/fat/chubby/anything else anyone would describe me as but I feel curvy is the best option to describe my body as a whole that is available to me on fab.
People are entitled to choose whatever body type they feel best describes them and others are entitled to feel that they are better suited to another label but as it's not their profile, it's none of their business. Personally, I am more interested in the person behind the profile rather than trying to find fault in their choice of body type label.

I take it on the chin with respect to some guys may genuinely find large ladies gorgeous . But since the thread is discussing curvy ladies who are actually large , thats somewhat irrelevant .
There is nothing worse than being delusional , and nothing better than being happy , content and confident with yourself .
We have had some of our best fun with large girls who are the latter , but they have happily declared themselves as large or fabulous on here .
The large ladies on here who describe themselves as curvy , are far less likely to have the confidence and attitude of the honest ones from our experience .

I would say curvy is 12-18 but it really depends how people carry it! Someone tall could be a 18 and look lovely but someone short and a size 14-16 could look less curvy.. |

Bad grammar really gets my goat, curvy is an adjective for starters. The word curve is a noun.
Curvy used in the sense of being descriptive of ones shape alludes to having curves, as has been mentioned before on the thread all women have curves.
Its a personal thing too and not to be judged, swinging is unlike most other sports and should always be kind, respectful and tolerant. Some people don't have a clue how to swing and think this site is something its not. Probably the reason I left a few years back. Still there are always those that know and those that don't.

I know the op asked a question and that's a perfectly reasonable thing to do, but why is it so important to others how we view ourselves?? There are men and woman on her that describe themselves as athletic some agree they are some don't. Some say they are curvy some agree some don't. Some say they're straight you get the picture. Why is it so important to some that we need to fit perfectly in our 'boxs'? |

I've also seen some women select Fabulous when they are in fact slim.
I thought it was understood that Fabulous was further along from Ample and Large.
To be honest, I find the use of such descriptions to be totally confusing as none of the options are an actual standard of measurement and are way to open to interpretation.
Curvy to me may mean something waaaaaay different to someone else.
Wouldn't it be a lot easier to use the actual standard unit of measurement - i.e Dress sizes (not that us fellas wear dresses - well, not all of us at least - but you get where I'm coming from)
You see, someone who considers themself to be curvy might be someone I would think of as Ample and so on.
Whereas someone who is a size 14 is a size 14 and we all know exactly what to expect.
I am actually grateful to those few women who actually state their dress size in their profile, because it provides information that I can understand.
I see some women who join the site, select curvy as their 'size' and put a profile text of 'will fill in later' and don't post any pics.
By the way, i'm not just picking on the women, the same should apply to blokes too.
After all, there is a height field, and the options there are standard units of measurement.
Can you imagine if the choices were - short, medium, average, tall, very tall.
