Hi Nick. I think you may find that some respondents use the  smiley, accompanied with 'oh not this old chestnut again!', but I thought I'd actually try to help you.
Your profile tells people almost nothing about you, and the photos make you look miserable... and your username isn't fun or naughty/suggestive, or even descriptive (nick2009 for example), it indicates that you've been let down in the past and are still pained by your experiences... I may be off the mark, but that's how it looks.
So.. especially as single guys undoubtedly do have to try harder to get some responses.. I'd suggest you redo your profile, get lost of positive vibes in there, take some happy photos, use the forums and chat rooms to get to know people, and attend some socials in your area.

Or just rejoin with a new image, profile, pics etc. Fresh start and all that. |

.. you're missing the message Honey posted above, Nick.. lots of singles do well thru Fab and similar, but they have a positive attitude and work at it. I wonder if you're actually after a dating site service instead? |

I think TwoBiTwo gave some great advice. I am constantly sending e-mails back to single guys/couples who have sent the same copy & pasted message to dozens of girls. So my advice is:
Look at the person's/couple's profile and read it, then when you mail them, mention something individual from their profile - then it looks like you have taken interest and actually read about them rather than the generic boring crap that singles always send.
I am always willing to strike up conversation if someone is polite and has mentioned something from my profile & it's not just a copy/pasted verse about how your new to this or what you're like in bed - I can judge that for myself

I actually like women who put a code word in their profile which you have to quote in your subject header.
I read every profile and tailor my messages accordingly only contacting those I am genuinely interested in. By putting the code word in the profile the woman/couple can at least be sure the guy/couple has read at least a reasonable percentage of her/their profile. |
