Uniforms and jobs do nothing unfortunately.
Humour charm and intelligence along with aesthetics push the buttons. That's not to say you can't put all that in a uniform but it's a little one dimensional as a selling point. |

I had a guy tell me he was in a certain uniformed service so I asked a few questions as unbeknown to him, I've been in that job 20 years. It was clear from his answers he wasn't what he claimed, sad really but I did have a giggle! |

Each to thier own. The combat gear does nothing for me. Stu has to wear cargo trousers and a work issue t-shirt to work it doesnt make him look any less sexy than any other uniform to me, its just clothes. Its not like they keep them on in bed  |

It's most definetly hit and miss, some girls love rough n ready soldier image, but it can crash and burn massively too, For me it's certainly not an opening line in a mess anymore! |

Sorry, but it's the guy in the uniform that matters. Or jeans. Or suit. Or whatever. If he's witty, sexy and I find him attractive that's pretty much all that matters. Occupation doesn't really enter into the equation; I met my fuck buddy for a night away last weekend and since my train was early he picked me up still in his bright blue baggy running shorts and an old T-shirt. I still wanted him because it was him not because of what he was wearing (although I did find it ridiculously endearing). |

Some women like uniforms, some like suits, other women love guys in sport gear. Although nothing will help if one's a big headed narcissistic knob, and there's probably just as many of them in uniforms as there is without. Sir yes sir! |

There's lots who have worn or still do wear a uniform. Funnily enough you can still be a complete tool even if you do in my experience. But if you need to use it in order to be successful best of luck with that. |

It isn't the uniform that attracts me to a man. The many forces men I've met have been,in general physically fit and have a calm demeanor. I like this in a man,it makes me feel comfortable in the company of a calm man. Most of them didn't advertise they were or had been in uniform and didn't use it to attract women. For me it's not the uniform it's the man underneath |

it amazes me the amount of guys who use the opening line,"do you like a guy in uniform?". it's not about what you wear it's about your personality that counts. And to be honest,chatting to some of the guys in uniform (supposidely i might add) clearly shows they haven't got a clue what they're talking about. more B/S comes out than i've ever known. It also helps when most of my relatives are seriving or ex military. |

I love this reply I hung up my uniform 2yrs ago and now work for a supermarket. I'm no different any Walt can buy a uniform from a surplus store. A man is judged by his character nothing else. If being a squadie is all you have going then that's a shame. As for belittling the other services speaks volumes.
No matter what I wear I'm The same person I just don't feel I need to use it as a means to get what I need. |

certainly there seems to be a plethora of 'uniform' threads and for reasons of 'discretion' or lack of they are in the main guys from the army but most of them are just selling themselves by asking whether their uniform attracts..
as with any 'attractive uniform' there are wannabe's and Walters but given that for some its the only usp needed is that any wonder? |

As an ex forces wife give me a military man any day but it's not all about the uniform.
think there is something attractive about their pride of being in the military the time they take to keep themselves fit and their attitude. I am sure there are men in civilian jobs that have a great pride in themselves and what they do (equally attractive) and there are a few military that don't have pride and despondent with the service they serve not so attractive.
And officers well that's a whole new level.... I am going to enjoy my thoughts! |

That's pride! They are proud of serving and the uniform they wear. It isn't just a job either it's a whole way of life, a completely different life to someone who works in Waitrose, a bank or someone who is unemployed. |

A lot comes down to the attitude. If the guy has the attitude that we owe him something because he's spent the last 4 years in stores at Aldershot and the uniform is all he's got going for him then he's not going to get far.
If he's clean, respectful, in good condition and above all a nice guy, then he'd probably not be daft enough to send a message playing on his job. |

Military men imply masculinity, dominance, stamina, authority and patriotism. A lot of people are attracted to that. Plus they have a reputation for being reliable, hard fuckers and look hot in uniform. Having lived near Dekhelia base in Cyprus as I used to entertain the troops by letting them bash my back doors in as hard as they liked and they never failed to deliver. |

I'm guessing it's being physically fit and trained for confidence and assertiveness. Might be good for a shag or date.
Over- confidence, arrogance and superiority complex over time though can be unattractive to some, whether that's from military personnel or civvies |
