Met some people whose FAB persona, pictures, text, posts on forums etc gave one impression yet when meeting them had a completely different impression, anyone else experienced this? |

"Yep, I have been chatting to a few people who are quite 'gobby' on here, but on meeting found them to be very different. "
Perhaps the anonymity of fabs makes them feel more comfortable so they can say what they feel like saying. |

Ive had some who trying to get a message out of was like trying to get blood from a stone but face to face you couldnt shut them up. Plus a couple bombarded us with messages then didnt say a word when we met. A few people have said Stu sometimes comes across a little abbrasive on here but face to face hes very laid back and friendly |

Its all a matter of perception, context gets misplaced, theres no expression or tone with the written word,no body language or eye contact so some people are very different yes, thats not always a bad thing |

I really struggle interpreting intent / emotion in written language so a lot of people have thought I'm being off with them when really I just don't see what they see Happens on forums and in work emails / reports etc that I write |
