I believe some of the people who get hundreds of Fab's have been on here awhile, regularly put new pictures up and build up a bit of a hotlist fan base. |

Give it time, those who get that many fabs have usually been on here a while and show up on many peoples news feeds, either as friends or on their hot list. Those who have only been on a wee while and get that many fabs usually post something exceptional. Nothing against your pics, you look very nice but the pics are a bit grainy and not that exciting (some of them). Please don't take this as a slight against yourselves, just an observation  |

Those with loads of fans in 1 day have loads of friends on their friends list and every time they upload a pic all the friends see it in their feed, then go fab them. Basically it is networking but at the end of the day there is no prize. Having said that it is nice when people do fab your pics. |

That's a bit harsh and out of order. A lot of people enjoy taking the photos and put a lot of time into them.i think it's nice to know they are being appreciated. I know I like it when my pics get fabd and I definitely have no insecurity issues. maybe you have issues thats why you had to put a personal remark like that.

Not at all...were just saying what 90 percent are thinking or agreeing,Why oh why are people so bothered about random strangers fabbing pics of theirs ! Has anyone ever arranged a meet through a fabd pic? We had over 2500 on one pic and never met anyone who fabd it so not really sure why the facility exists,to us its just a look at my profile thread or a cry for some attention  |

The only analogy I can use is that of a viral youtube video.
Its just a perfect storm really. A pic gets posted and a hundred folks fab it. And because its climbing very quickly up the leader board every one else thinks they should fab it too.
Once the pic hits about the 3rd or 4th page it will only keep rising till the majority have fab'd it.
The make or break point is getting it up to at least 3rd page. Statistics will show that about 65% to 70% percent of people do not click past the 3rd or 4th page.
Same principles for an internet search engine.
I wouldn't be too worried about it really
