I admit it.
I wink at profiles with cool pics before i read them.
I consider winking a nice ice breaker not lazy.
Sometimes it gets me in trouble but most just ignore it if they don't like it.
I say if your interested when I wink , wink back

I find this so annoying. Why would you not read to see if you're what they're looking for first? Otherwise people see your wink and take time to check out your profile, only to find you're not suitable for a reason stated clearly in the profile. Time wasted all round!  |

I wouldn't say bad, but certainly lazy. Winking profiles that you might not be interested and then expecting them to take the time to contact you? To me there's a massive flaw in that logic but if it works for you then all is good |

We've had some great meets and built good friendships from an exchange of winks...We do see them as an ice breaker and a bit of fun but guess what...only from people who meet what we're looking for...They can usually tell that they do by reading our profile...see how all those things fit together? |

I bulk delete all my winks about once a week without even looking at them.
To me they are like a smile in the street, lovely, but a bit meaningless.
Push the boat out and send a message, yeah some will get ignored (quite a few of mine get ignored completely) but the ones that chat back are pretty good  |

A winker dosent read my profile (I say I dont answer winks)
so they havent a clue what im after, so I would rather answer people who message me and gives me time to do so |

Thanks guys. All good advice.
I will try harder to not let my lust for a great pic rule my head. Lol.
It doesn't happen all the time honestly.
I still think winks are good for an ititial hi how you doing you caught my eye kinda message but everyone's different I guess.

I use a wink or fab of a picture to let them know I'm interested however I normally read the profile first and if they don't want me then I won't wink, I may fab a picture but that's a different story  |

I delete them so they never gonna work with me. One average, I get about 30ish a week - even saying I delete them on my profile and don't pay attention to them. |

I've met from a wink as initial contact, but still only with people who tick my boxes so I see no issue with winking...but I don't see the point in winking without reading first and seeing if you'd even be interested in them, never mind whether they'd be interested in you  |
