I read the profile/look at the pics before i read the message.
I then look at the message.
Crap profile means the message really has to have something about it. Great profile means as long as the message is polite then I'll read with interest. |

The message means everything! Send me a great message and I'll barely pay attention to a photo! A good looking picture means nothing if your message is disrespectful or dull!!  |

Yes it matters very much. I look at profiles before I open the message. If the profile doesn't appeal to me then I seldom even read it I just delete.
If the profile shows interests like me I read it. If it is a message that is personal to me and not just hi how are you then I will reply. |
