I see so many profiles stating that "CLEANLINESS IS A MUST", or words to that effect. I would have thought this is pretty much a given! But if so many people feel the need to spell it out maybe it's not?

Do people really go to meets without being freshly showered and appropriately groomed? What are your experiences in this?

I have read some horror stories via the forums of how people turn up for meets, It always astonishes me that people would do such a thing, but then I guess its down tot he persons perception on how clean they think they are.

I have had guys turn up with their genitals stinking of stale urine and even worse their last sexual conquest !! Obviously, I didn't take it any further. A real turn off as is B.O. But I know somewhere there is someone who would find that a real turn on x

Ive never had a really bad experience with poor hygiene from a meet but it smelt some awful smells at parties and clubs

Urgh. These stories are horrid. Getting ready for a meet is always part of the fun!!

We love all the prep and grooming ahead of a meet, makes us feel super sexy!

And at clubs we take fem fresh wipes for after everytime we have a wee and hand wipes for if we put our fingers on anyone. Then as soon as we can after playing with someone we shower/go in jacuzzi or have a thorough wash. We are cleanliness freaks so maybe we are a little ott but we expect others to be as clean as us

I am a professional masseuse and men have turned up smelling of wee and stinking feet. I could not imagine a sexual encounter with anyone who is not freshly showered and trimmed. Its a respect thing.

Yes, I was wondering if it's a case of different ideas of what is acceptable, esp. as some people have sensitive noses and others don't.

But what did you tell them?! Yes, there are people that find fresh or sometimes stale BO a turn-on, but tend to think that this is not the kind of thing you'd wheel out at a first meet?

I think that's a tricky one there, because sex can be a smelly business haha. So I guess for me the "standard" is fresh at the point of arrival, would be more lenient by the end of the night.

That was very interesting to read, thank you (I've never been to a club or party so I don't know the practicalities of playing with many in one night). Do you find your cleansing routines get in the way of your playing, or not at all? Have you ever got carried away and forgot to?

I shower before every meet and when at a club, I shower & brush my teeth between partners/playtimes/jacuzzi visits.

Soap costs pence, there really is no excuse for poor hygiene. The worst I had was a guy turning up that had out far too much aftershave/body spray on to cover up he hadn't showred......total turn off & asked to leave.

It should go without saying, the other week I went on an impulsive road trip and decide to visit a club where I knew some very good friends would be on my return journey.

I had fresh clothes and my washbag in the car and when I got to the club I asked the owner if I could use one of the rooms to get a shower shame I forgot my towel

Most the guys i have met have been nice smelling but had one who had a very smelly cock, smelt of wee .... gross. Also had a guy who met me at the end of his working day and was in his (dirty) work clothes and smelt of BO and wee ... gross.

They didn't seem to think this would be a problem lol

There were guys that i met regular after i had finished work and i always had a shower or bath at their home before playing

From the forum posts, like many others, as well as from occasional conversations, it appears that some people turn up for meets very far from being freshly groomed and clean. Perhaps the worst have faecal matter in abundance, cheese maturing outside of the cheddar gorge, and display plaque that is not a celebratory sign of some outstanding event.

Those going for meets after a long day at work would do well to hunt for a gym or establishment with showers and to use a change of clothing.

Me too. I go to clubs with a lady and we love the pampering first and when there we have strict rules and a big antibax in my pocket. Some people are smelly and we have had to leave rooms especially on hot nights like these.

I scrub myself until I am spotless however I know not all guys do.

I had taken a friend to a club in Glasgow and she had to take a break as one of the guys stank of stale sweat !!!

I also met a Cpl who told me about a social meeting they had, the guy thought because he was not gonna get to play then he could turn up just of a building site or garden and he was un washed un shaved stinking of BO.

So yes some people have to be told to wash !!!!

Getting ready is part of the excitement for me. I am always well groomed but like to spend extra time before meets with shaving, plucking, moisturising and general pamper time. I have never had a stinky meet but I do think it happens. To each his own but I would pass quite quickly if I felt someone was unwashed.

That's one crazy story! But it reminded me of one of my earliest experiences of being with a woman sexually... The smell of her vaginal fluids was so overpowering, it made me so queasy I felt sick. I know she can't have smelled bad because I spent the day/night with her at her place and there were no bad smells whatsoever around her home or about her person; and also when I fingered her, she had just stepped out of the bath! To this day I don't know why I had such an adverse reaction, it was so bad it made me question my attraction to women for a while!
