Just had a really odd one.
Don't mind "no thanks" or "sorry, not for me" etc.
Just been knocked back because...."you look really great, but I won't play with gold or silver members". When I queried this and asked why I was told "I have my reasons"
Anyone else think this is odd - or can offer other totally ridiculous knock backs? |

Years ago I worked in a local authority telephone service centre.
A message from a couple out of the blue made them seem very keen and we exchanged small talk via email for a few days.
After telling them that I worked for the county council. I got the brush off that the male of the couple was a business man with dealings with the council so could not swing with someone who worked there as it might 'jeopardise impartiality.'

My wierdest was 'Sorry, you are in the wrong direction' from a guy who was 40mins away in Chester. How many directions can you go in from Chester I wonder and which would be the right one? |

I'd been exchanging messages with a guy off and on for a while and he invited me to a private party with him and his female partner - who was never present when we spoke, although their couples profile had been meet verified and stated she was fine for him to do the talking.
When I politely declined several times to come alone and meet an unknown group of couples, he replied that it probably wouldn't be for me anyway, as everyone there was quite slim and fit.

When we first started playing we were advised just a polite no thank you was enough and never to make an excuse as this could be a more hurtful rejection. Nowadays we would be just happy to get an answer.

I sent a message to a woman a couple of weeks ago with pics attached.
She replied saying she found my message amusing but since I hadn't sent a few pics as requested then she didn't want to talk further.
I explained that if she checked the original message she would find I had attached pics, she replied in an angry manner and blocked me.
Probably dodged a bullet though. |
