we like them as long as the winker understands our profile but we find it really lazy if someone winks then when we wink back or we message them they loose the ability to communicate |

I use winks to say "hi" as the volume of messages can be very high, will end a message if someone winks back, id sometimes frustrating when after a few messages people with out saying anything cease comnunication |

Not everyone has the confidence to send an opening message but are probably nice people to be around. However you look at it, receiving a wink is a compliment of sorts, so by default they must be good I'd be happy to get more |

I don't mind a wink. Couples seem to wink me the most, but I think it's a gentle prompt to see if I'll take it further. They're not a problem. Sometimes I wink a fella I like the look of, but I see I'm out of his age range...just in case. (I count that as quite daring for me)! |

Well for a wink for me is time and energy conservation, as I send it so you don't have to read a message I would have written and then delete it.
Just a short way of saying I liked your profile. |

It's no mystery...I've winked several couples or Fems...had a return wink..then changed my mind and let the moment go.
I don't feel I have to explain my change of mind.
Had the same done to me...no big deal...
If someone takes the trouble to messages me? That's entirely different...I ALWAYS reply .. even if the sender is 100% not my type.

Time is money in my world so a wink is an easy way to show interest. If its reciprocated then a conversation can follow . If not I have saved myself the time of composing a message to someone who has no interest in me.
