Thanks for the comment , I have one at the moment , had diverticulitis , mine is reversible but to be honest once you get used to it there is no problem at all , you can even get small bags more like covers which are quite good when having sex  |

I would agree its much better than suffering and really is no hassle at all , I was just wondering what peoples reactions would be to someone wearing one, its seems from the comments that its not really an issue which is rather encouraging |

I would reccomend having the op if you get pain a lot , as I said in the other posts once you get used to it its no hassle , and actually has benefits like when you are in the middle of nowhere and need to go lol |

Personally, it wouldn't be for me. I don't always play "nice" and I'd be concerned about my playmates, which in turn would spoil it for me.

Well done OP for posting this. It's a subject that yes isn't for everyone but I wish people would at least get full facts before posting opinion about it in certain negative ways, someone with a colostomy, illeostomy or similar prob wouldn't be actively swinging if they were actively ill, in pain or their appliance was at such a risk of coming off or bursting etc. it doesn't make a difference nor does any other disability, if it's not for you then that's fine but it's just like any other add on or bit missing. Maybe Torbay for a holiday soon lol  |

Like similar above this is something I've always dreaded that I might someday need but good to see some positivity. Sex is one of my major worries if I ever need to get one and this has been reassuring. |

I have recently been very close to having a urostomy and colostomy bag and had to have emergency surgery,which I am still recovering from. I'd really would have had to stop swinging, I'd be so embarrassed.
Would I meet someone with either bags? Absolutely, as long as I was told in advance.  |

Slightly off topic but why torbay for a holiday? I pay hundreds to get away from it!!! Lol plus summers over so what u gonna do down here? X
And to OP no a colostomy or any other medical equipment/ appliances wouldn't bother me at all I would be more bothered seeing someone suffer without it x |

we have just been talking about this again over the past few days so coincidence the thread been picked up again - my daughter has just had another massive flare up and ended up in hospital (all back on track now) - shes so worried that this is going to be her soon - shes had the condition from 12 and is 20 now - i put her at ease as much as we can but its not me going through it - |

So great to read this post, I'm getting a temp on for afew months and was dreading even thinking about having sex with it, I do have a wonderful supportive partner but at the mo it's all theory, I was hoping he won't get freaked when it's a reality |

My son like you has Crohns,had his bag fitted last year best thing he ever did so he says.Met his girlfriend while both in hospital now both have bags fitted an still have a great sex life,dont ask how I know lol |

Reading this thread is so reassuring as I myself have an ileostomy (mrs)and body image is a massive issue I have personally however it does not affect our sex life at all in fact if anything it has improved it as being ill made it almost impossible x
