Morris Dancing? I suppose families on income support have to have a day out? Can anyone tell me the point in it

"whats wrong with morris dancing? "

Nothing as far I can tell.

I can't really see what families on income support have got to do with one of the ancient traditions of this country either.

I had a go once - the sticks are scary, but it was a laugh.

I prefer it to Strictly Bollocks

Definately one if our pet hates - an English tradition which we can only describe our disdain for in a similar way to a plate being scraped slowly with a sharp object .

If a visitor to our country sees Morris dancing and gets an idea of what we are about , then it's any wonder we are the laughing stock !

Absolutely detest it

I've seen a few traditional dancers in other countries - morris dancers are no more weird than most, and a lot less scary than a few!

And your perception of the other countries dancing is ...... No doubt much the same as theirs of our Morris dancing !

Wish it was the Algarve! Aberdeenshire

All countries have traditional dance! Don't I know it! But being a sweaty sock I find Morris dancing quite entertaining and cool to watch especially while sitting with a cream tea! Oh god I really want a cream tea now! Damn it.. A very fine English tradition..
