re: what behind in the background of a picture

Well, someone did a thread on if they look at a photo and its dirty or messy behind puts them off meeting t hem.

well today first time, i have thought hm would like to have a few more photos of us on the private gallery side.

( before today i can honestly say not bothered if we had picxtures or not on profile).

Then i looked at the bedropom, thought no not decorated yet then looked around the house hm, not bloody done fully yet. (just moved).

So know am p*ssed off that first time i want some fun photos and the house is not decorated yet to take pics.

So what can i do!!

Help.

can't get to a club or party no sitter!.

Should I or not

Well as it's really warm out do the pics have to be indoors?

You dont need to be a expert..just a little thought needed. If we can get at least one nice picture anyone can.

Thanks going to try the sheet and also the cropping idea.

Sounds the best idea.

Know just got to find hubby?

Plus make sure kids area sleep.

That picture was Ian been a pain the arse when i was trying to get ready for work

shoot with shallow depth of field, it'll put background noise out of focus and soften the image. Black & White also helps to soften backgrounds. Alternatively play around with your flash - it'll highlight the image - you in this case, and cast a strong shadow on the background. Could get some real arty shots.

Our latest pictures were taken at a friends home, so that nobody would recognise thier house we used a Red Silk sheet as a background, I think the pictures came out quite well.

Jo takes her own pictures... Hates me doing them, lol but she mainly takes them against a plain coloured wall... So no mess in background or any parts of the house that are identifiable (or messy) lol.

I took pictures of me and ex wife ages ago using a white sheet as a back drop... I put a bright light behind the sheet, gave a good effect to the final pics.

I have never had this problem ( cos ) BUT

Just take piccies on your bed with just top cover in shot OR against a wall with NO furniture in shot

The decor shouldn't matter but it does... cos I find myself often looking at a crammed background ( yesterday it was a horrible broken wardrobe and drawers with everything falling out including yellow pages and old dirty floral curtains ..... I never even noticed the cock to the left of the shot.

well you could always do a few themed shots with stepladders, paint pots and rollers strategically spread around the place - perhaps you on a dust sheet naked except for a hard hat and tool belt lol.

On a more serious note - just hang a sheet up as a background to cover any pre-decoration blemishes - red is a good colour as it complements and contrasts skin tones very well (ever wondered why so many porn moves use red sheets / red sofas? well now you know)

We agree totally about pics with awful backgrounds - they would certainly put us of meeting the people concerned. It suggests that they can not be bothered to make any effort to even take decent pics, and our concern is that this lack of effort may be applied across the board....

And anyway, taking pics is FUN!

There have already been loads of good suggestions, and given the weather we are having at the minute, why not try outdoors? Some of our best pics have been "snatched" in public places, which adds that little bit of excitement!

we been looking at the pictures and the background, I think we have nothing that could look bad.

best picture Ian falling off the bed as he took the picture,have add that one to the profile

Are must try and find are suckets LOl

I never look at the back ground know thats all i am doing.

I need help.

On the plus side i can see what colours i like on the walls.

Shame know i have wall papered, Mind due i am woman guess i can change my mind !!
