Just curious as to how many people used to go to Hamshaws near haywards Heath. We used to and loved it. It was such a shame it closed down

I too was just thinking about the Club; I used to attend it even after it became Club Liberty. The venue was amazing the facilities awesome and the guests always a delight. There is simply nothing like it for miles now.

We went along once on a blazing hot Sunday. Was our first time trying naturism. We were terrified but loved it. Gorgeous pool. Seems a long time ago now.

More rumours abound of another club somewhere in Brighton but what I really want to see is the return of Hamshaws the open field, the pool and huge jacuzzi and steam and sauna features. The playrooms were imaginative ( after Caroline took over ) the amount of friends I introduced to that club was amazing.

Resurrecting this post as this was the first swingers club we attended.

It was great, sliding in the ice to the pool, the great big jacuzzi and the playrooms with the obligatory creaking floor boards.

On special nights there were women selling body jewellery, it just had a great atmosphere.

Sadly missed

We went a few times to evening events. It was lovely in the pool under the stars.

Was that the club that Lady Caroline and her husband of F Club and Wicked ran ?

Yes we used to absolutely love it there. We used to go every weekend, shortly after we got married. We were living in Canterbury.

We would spend a while in the giant Jacuzzi or the pool in summer.

When a guy got chatting, we would head down to the play rooms.

Shell had a fair few guys follow as she was only in her 20s and has great tits.

We would play with the first guy, then invite all the others one by one, then once done head back to the jacuzzi then repeat.

There were a couple of good memories there, one where someone's wife was chatting to me and another guy, then started blowing him under water, meanwhile her old husband was banging Shell against the edge of the pool.

Also a Scottish guy, bit like Sean Conery who had a good size cock.. think his name was Jim.

She had plenty of guys down there... would love to hear from any who had her.

That was the place run by Brian Sheridan wasnt it? Got busted for letting professional ladies hold events there if I remember correctly. Is a housing estate now

Bexley

Yet another name that appears to attract the swingers' 'S'

When it was open it was called Hamshaw.

I (Fire) was friends with them from the F Club and Wicked days - I knew C had stepped away - didn’t know Brian had passed though as lost contact with both of them a few years back now.

Oh hey Fire , lovely to see you. It was a bit rock and roll that place but between Jenni, Sabrina, James and Barnaby and so many wonderful fun people it really was a place with some lovely moments.

Googling the local newspaper's account of outraged villagers is an entertainment in its own right.

The tragedy is that if they had just kept to calling themselves a sun club, they might have got away with being branded merely with eccentricity.

In reality Hamshaw was nowhere near other habitation that could possibly have seen or heard anything shocking to the core.

Liberty, ironically, is something that outrageable villagers like to think they stand up for at election time and they can't cope with the word being used in relation to other people's freedom.

Bad choice of club name for that sort of area?

I don't remember it being called Liberty.

We went until it closed down.

It was called Brighton Sun Club, though it was in Sloop Lane, Scaynes Hill. I loved it, and started going from soon after it opened. I had an older female friend who lived close by and told me about it. I had several really hot encounters there with men and women. I had the feeling that, as Club Liberty it made the mistake of trying to capture the classy elite swinger set. They also had the usual busybodies going to the press about how shocked they were etc.

Fantastic place.

Remember the freezing walk down to the playrooms in the winter?

I joined as soon as it opened from the then Brighton sun club to Hamshaws.

The club's biggest error was actually a charity event they threw. The problem came because they served alcohol that weekend, and low and behold, The Thin Blue line turned up when they got wind of the booze flowing.

Naturally the local papers then painted the club in a different light. Shame.

It was sold onto an old folks home and the locals seemed more agreeable to the new flats.
