The good thing about KIK is you don't have to give out your number.
You can see when the message has been read.
Bad things about it is its reliability and limited file sharing size, Id prefer it over whatsapp to be honest. I am fed up of people assuming that just because they seen me online after they sent me a message, I must have read it  |

I do prefer whattsapp so much easier to use and file sharing capability I don't mind giving out my number as it shows trust and maybe the fact that your genuine and not a swingers surfer or picture collector |

Kik for us... People can see from our profile that we are the real deal... Its bad enough getting pestered on here, let alone people getting hold of our mobile numbers... We save them for people that have become friends over a period of time... |

You should all use blackberry messenger as it's better than both kik and whatsapp. No exchanging of telephone numbers and messages are encrypted which makes it the most secure of all the instant messaging services. Go to bbm.com to download it on iPhone or Android |

Could someone please invent yet another way for men to send me pictures of their sorry looking penises? What with email, text, Fab, kik, whatsapp, BBM there just isn't enough choice.  |

Kik for me now on here.
I use WhatsApp and BBM in my "real"/vanilla life and have had a recent experience where my number was given to a guy on here without my consent  I rarely gave my number out before, so knew I hadn't given it to him. |

I text quite often. It doesn't need internet access and never fails. You don't get stalked or asked for pics. I do have Whatsapp and Kik. My Kik notifications don't work properly and Whatsapp doesn't always respond when I open it |

The number of women I have chatted to on dating sites that want to exchange numbers for WA.....its ridiculous.
I have converted so many to kik for safer initial messaging etc. that I should be on commission.
I use both but kik has advantage of also giving times of 'last online'.
There was an article about it causing marital issues and I find it does give misleading info out.
Not that I have anyone to upset of course. |

We have both WhatsApp and kik, WhatsApp for vanilla, kik for fun and easier arrangements for meets as we don't have to be online here. Only give out male half username as lady not too sure of it and can't reply as easy due to work. |

I'll give my number for Whatsapp or a phone call. I can block numbers on my phone and I don't hide my activity from anyone |
