A 40+ year old trying to get with girls around 18 years old? I personally find it a bit disgusting. I would think bad of my dad if I knew he was fucking someone so much younger than him. Partly because his sons are about that age! |

as with everything it really depends on the people and the nature of their relationship.
I would have said once that it really didn't matter but now I think if one or the other partner is using their age to influence or manipulate the other in a bad way that its wrong. |

it's not for me as I see an 18 year old as a teenager not an adult ~ legal in the eyes of the law but maybe not mature enough to handle the consequences of such a liaison. |

This time last year I was 26 and I felt a bit guilty for liking a 19 year old. Was a once off, but still felt a bit guilty as i normally think of them as a teenager. So definitely won't go there in 20/30 years time |

we used to get a lot of very young men and sometimes young couples approaching us too until we upped our lower age limit. For us it's a no go area and recent experience has reinforced that but if it's legal and consensual we wouldn't slate anyone else for doing it. |

Maturity is a state of mind and does not necessarily come with age. Some of us are indeed mature adults, we are also open minded. Others who resort to name calling and sarcastic put downs when people express opposing views don't to my mind fall into that category.
The green arrow is a useful indicator and people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones

What's wrong with the age gap? At 18 I was sleeping with a 50yr old on regular basis iv always loved older men I'm now married to a good man 20yrs my senior its younger men I'm not into but I don't think they could handle me even my husband says I would eat them alive that's why we upped the age limit  |

I think if you are happy for your child to do it. Have a fling with someone 40 years older/younger than them and no relationship to come over it. Then you can't criticise. If you think of it as unthinkable for your child to do it. Then you should know it's wrong and it's hypocritical if you go out as do it. |
