I used to get really nervous before a meet, even if it was a repeat. I found little ways of boosting my self confidence such as brushing my teeth or having a quick splash of aftershave. I rarely drink and I wouldn't consider alcohol to be beneficial. |

Sheer terror. Off for a 2 night meet in 4 weeks time, the butterflies have already kicked in. I shake, I babble on to myself, I worry.
Don't think I can stop it. Got a knot in my stomach now typing this.

Paul doesn't get nervous. I used when we first started but not so much now. Unless they are really nervous then it rubs off on to me lol but its all part of the fun x |

I say to people no pressure we'll meet we'll have a drink and a chat. The worse thing that can happen is we'll make a new friend. If theres a spark for both of us we'll take it further. I met someone.yday and she said she doesnt just want to jump into bed together. I said Im happy to have a kiss n cuddle anything else is a bonus...... Simples |

I think nerves are a natural thing before meets, some people manage them better than others etc, if people don't get them I can only guess they've had many meets and learnt to get past them, but I hope everyone has some excitement before a meet |

Even when someone I've been seeing for years is coming over I still pace the flat and wee every 5 minutes. It's excitement. When I'm meeting someone new I rarely get that feeling. I'm usually worried about getting lost or my phone dying on the way |

We get the butterflies in the tummy, Mrs N does go quiet before meeting sometimes if it's new people but they disappear once we're there and realise there's nowt to worry about as always. |

I always get nervous, even for repeat meets but I think that's a good thing. For me it adds to the build up and anticipation. When I ever get to the stage where I'm not nervous it might be time to give up |

Sounds spot on, we've always said if it became mundane or the norm for us then we stop. We love the nerves and excitement, the butterflies and the anticipation. It's so much fun.... |

I suppose the difference is how we process our 'nerves' some of you feed off them so all you sense is excitement. Some are largely able to control their nerves so feel some trepidation but also get excited. Then the rest of us who are almost overwhelmed by nerves are terrified. Then there's the poor souls who are actually overwhelmed completely and it prevents them meeting people.
Thankfully I've never quite tipped into the last category, but I've come close. |

"I never get nervous.
Does that make me weird?
No, Mr D has never, ever been nervous.
Annoying Dutch bastard lol.
Good to know I'm not the only one.
"
Not suggesting you're an annoying Dutch bastard though.
I know he's not nervous because about every 10 minutes I go 'aren't you nervous?' The answer remains the same. |
