Is it not the most frustrating thing when you are starting a conversation. ..All you get back is one word answers. ...Please don't answer yes or no lol  |

Have you thought that maybe you're asking closed questions? Sometimes it's hard not to give a yes or no answer if the question you are asked warrants is.

I started a conversation, telling them about ourselves, and what good fun we had been having.
I then asked pretty much the same thing to them, thinking they would open up about themselves, keep a nice flow going.
All I got back was " yeah u" I gave up lol |

I think technology has a big part to play in this as a lot of people are on smartphones when replying, so i find a one word answer or short phrase easier at the time, however that does not mean you cannot say that and then carry on the conversation properly when you are better placed to type a proper response |
