Depends what you are looking for. The Ethical Slut certainly makes for interesting reading and food for thouoght. However, it is dated, excessively liberal and a bit too American. I'm not being racist/xenophobic, there are just some typically American attitudes supported in the book that I disagree with.
On the other hand, as a source reference to further discuss polyamory, it is pretty decent. Irrelavent to swinging. |

I've not heard of the Ethical Slut but fancy having it as a username.
Read a few journals though "Girl with a
One Track Mind", "The Butcher, the Baker, The Candelstick Maker" (and the follow ups).
Struggled with the "Story of O" though.
Nancy Friday .. Girl on Top was good. Was a million years ago since I read it though.

Thanks for this, Algernon. As you mention, it's the polyamory side that I'm interested in exploring further.
Can I ask why you said it's irrelevant to swinging - I'm happy to take this to PM if you think a reply is best suited to that. I thought there would have been some overlap between the two... I'm keen to hear your thoughts if you disagree with this and think they're completely separate.
As you can probably guess, I'm still getting my head round things |
