angry statuses and profiles

does anyone else find themselves avoiding profiles with regular ranty argumentative statuses or find themselves skipping by profiles with unhappy paragraphs? we understand that people can get wound up with things on here but surely not many people can find the unhappy profiles attractive??  |

Yes, yes and yes...I rarely look at local updates or who's looked at me but on occasion when I do, it's nearly as bad as fecking Facebook! If there's lots of SHOUTY CAPS and a long list of DONTS then I move on quickly...

Ranty negative statuses that are regular end up getting blocked by me, can understand odd rant now and again, but daily! Nah I wanna meet chilled happy peeps |

I don't get it the ranty profile.
No timewasters tickles me. Do people really think timewasters (if they even read it which is unlikely) will say, oh that's me out then.
Saying that there are some rants that are done with such humour I am drawn to the person a little more. |

It's not just rants or aggressive profiles and status updates which make me avoid people. There seems to have been rather a lot of forum posts like that recently too. When I see them it makes me reach for the block button very quickly |

Some people Love a bit of Drama! Tell the world about all , then moan bout reactions they get! Deff something we avoid like the Plague. We here for Fun, not Drama and all that brings. On the plus side,we got a very impressive block list lol   |

sure do, it is the same as people who know how the site works but need to grandstand rants just to get attention, they know fully well that the rant will have make no difference.

I prefer to talk to people in person before judging by a few letters on a status. I talk utter crap on here most of the time. I'm nothing like I am on real life as I am on here. Too many stupid, narrow minded people on here is more of a problem I think |

Same here. I would think if someone put a negative status up that they were having a bad day or something and it wouldn't put me off.
I talk a load of crap myself. I don't think things through entirely before I post and so on. You would have to put up something really bad for me to block you. |

got to agree with this, if people hide behind the keyboard or have an alter ego on here, then surely if a meet ever happened then you wouldn't be meeting the person you thought you had been chatting to |

They are off putting but we all have bad days although some seem to have them all the time! No one wants to meet a negative person I'm sure but the one's that get me are the guys I/we have offered to meet, you hear nothing back then a rant on their status saying this site is rubbish, they can't get a meet, blah blah blah!! |

I wouldn't block anyone from the forum because of something they said. I had a look to see who might have blocked me from this thread and found it funny that a couple had blocked me. I'm not looking to meet couples so why bother? It's not like I'm going to message them to ask to meet them |

I must admit I do write pissed off status now and then but never lasts long its mainly when I've been cooped up and need release or if someone is stiring but as I said never lasts long |

That may be the case.. The way I look at it and the way I have always been taught is that you only get one chance to make a really good first impression
If you go back to wanting to meet someone say short notice.. Are you likely to go for the person who looks fun or the person who moans and whinges?

I thought people came on this site to be able to express themselves sexually in ways mainstream society frowns on. Seems strange that then if they don't conform some stepfords wives type outlook they face criticism. Surely those who don't agree should be the ones "building a bridge and getting over it". People should be free to express themselves how they choose thus offering others the choice to agree or not. As Winston Churchill said "I may disagree with your opinion but I will defend to the death your right to express it". |

Don't get ranty negative profiles. Especially right at the start. Total turn off and ignored along with the folk that are always sticking up status's that there about to leave and never do.

Yep, me too.
All those profiles that begin with lists of "Dont's"
Or profiles with weird, shouty profile statuses.
Inevitably, they never reply even if you abide by their many 'rules'
Strange, needy people, and best avoided - on here and in 'real life'.
