I went to visit a new friend off this site tonight....well mon night....earlier.....whatever and what an awfull start...I had all day to get ready but somehow ended up going to a pals house in Morecambe, the next town over, and lost track of time and stayed till half five so had to sit through an hour of hometime traffic to go home and grab a shower and shave and whatnot. Left home and got on the motorway at Lancaster south junction and insteaed of turning north I autopiloted south so had to turn round at Preston before headed north again adding thirty miles or so to my journey.
When I got into her town the sat nav took me to the council offices car park from where I had to call her  bless her she took off her heels and walked over in her flats and got me and we drove over to hers but why on the day I decided to leave my car looking like a mobile dustbin? Really? C'mon! Had to throw all my rubbish into those pockets on the back of the seats and give a blast of deoderant...
Turned into a real nice evening though in the end once we were there we did have a properly lovely night though...great lady for putting up with me...
Mind you, I have a disclaimer on my profile clearly stating that I'm an idiot so suppose let it be a lesson on reading the small print  and not buying the second cheapest sat nav in the shop.
Anybody else got any crap start stories? |
