A cpl with the pensioner thread have said pensioners now range from 45 upwards? Really do forty something's think they're pensioners? I certainly don't!

some people do claim their pension at 45 but they are very few and far between. I'm not a big fan of labels, if someone looks like you would like to meet them it doesn't matter if they're drawing a pension really. |

If you receive a pension then by definition you're a pensioner.
I believe that some Police and Fire Service workers as are Armed Forces personell can qualify at mid forties |

Thank god for that. I'll be 74 in a couple of weeks and I'm still shagging away at mostly whatever I can get. Lol |

There seems to be confusion between the words pensioner and old. Understand able in 1947 when life expectancy was 67,but rather outdated now that it is 81. |
