Arrogant Single Guys?

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

Just wondering how many other couples have come across this, we've only been on the site for few months but when contacting single guys and arranging a meet, when it gets closer to the date etc, there is no follow-up from the guys, despite them being online on the day!

Are we as a couple suppose to chase them or surely as it's harder for single guys to meet, you'd think they would make more effort in confirming the date?

Seem to be a small minority that think they're doing us a favour by even replying!

I think it's hard for single guys on here. I can't believe if a couple makes contact they don't jump at the chance to meet up

When it comes to couples and females thinking that they are doing a favour, single men are mere amateurs in comparison...

I might sound arrogant...but I have in my many years of service talked to some fuckwits...they range from the single men, couples, and women.

I can honestly say I dont particularly care if I dont get what I want when its about sex...its a simple case of move on if needed.

the problem IS...some people think they are above others and will try making u jump through hoops...and more often than not it is (in MY experience), the male half of a couple thinking I should be bowing at their presence sort of thing...and I mean this is before the meet is even arranged.

and occasionally...I have the contact from the male half...and it all sounds like a fucking fantasy in his head...then I wish he'd just fuck off because his other half is probably unaware that I exist

sound harsh?- well I dont stipulate much...but its even ground as far as I'm concerned...I have just as much right to manage how and who I meet, without it sounding that I'm disrespectful.

its called having a fucking backbone to be honest.

Not insinuating, I think they most certainly are - especially in the context of replying to messages.

Not all of them of course, but Im generalising about the small minority, in the same way as the OP.

Can't speak for other men on the site but for me, I state in my profile that I'm on here to meet and play, not to exchange endless messages.

Some people get annoyed because I don't want to speak to them every time I'm online.

I tend to arrange a meet and then message later to check it's still on.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I make it perfectly clear in my profile.

You are basically saying that single men should feel privileged to be meet you and how lucky they are so they should feel greatful and chase you to pander to your ego... Now remind me who we were criticising for being arrogant?

You can't really say they are "arrogant" can you? If men are arrogant, what are women?? Who ignore 90% of messages? Not arrogant?

The reason why men do this in my experience is because the man of the couple starts to get a bit funny. For me, if the male half of the couple is a bit sensitive/odd, I'd move on.

It could also be that the single guy bottles out.

For me, its usually because the guy thinks he is amazing. Well if you're that amazing then don't message me.

Having said that... Most couples I've met have been lovely.

Thanks for actually answering the question, that's what we think too, we don't want endless messaging either but a quick confirmation and the details, we would never be arrogant or even waste someone's time.

If there's no follow up we mail to ask if it's still on. If no reply we just assume they aren't interested anymore. It takes two sides to make a meet. We never just wait for them to make contact.

We've given up arranging meets with single guys.....we wouldn't say guys are arrogant but we just never got any that actually turned up! despite weeks of chatting, exchanging pics and mobile numbers etc

We only play with single guys at clubs of when out dogging now.

I most of the comments above and would go further in saying that it's not just in messages that many couples (and single women) display arrogance.

Socials and clubs are both hotbeds for 'how very dare you ?' looks, the defence often being, of course that all single guys are the same : predatory, ignorant and unable to accept 'no' as an answer.

In my experience if we've arranged a meet and then there becomes even a hint of hard work. Like reticence in confirming venue, time etc. then I call it off. I haven't got time to be chivvying for a response. Happily it doesn't happen very often. Dont know if this is about arrogance. Just manners on both sides really

If I've not heard from the guy after arranging a meet , I will texted them the day before .I have to know what's happening to sort family etc .So I find it easier to take the initiative rather than play a waiting game.

I will say though I have still had those who fail to answer or only reply just before meet that for what ever reason they can't make it .Easy then just to move on to those who do want to meet .

Not saying that some people on here can't be arrogant because there's arrogance amongst all walks of life - But my experience is that single guys can be treated like a commodity by couples and single women, at times on this site.

lots of people here think they are doing others a favour by contacting them... be that couples, men and women!

if someone was to ask me if there was a tinge of entitlement in the opening post I would say yes.... I don't jump thru hoops for anyone, and I wouldn't expect that of others... I have enough self-respect in myself to walk away.....

That's so true. A lot of guys far from being arrogant just say 'I'm the guy I'll do it how you want' it's like an unwritten rule that you have to be compliant like an obedient dog.

I actually want an even playing-field, a situation we're all equally happy with and get the most from, not a starting point where the guy is wagging his tail and being grateful for the attention.

Thanks for the thumbs up on my post.

OP I was being quite general in my statement/opinion..

but there is usually something that stops a single guy from meeting...

If he hasnt been decently verified by meets..u may be barking up the unsure tree..

If u have been sending messaes that sound like Mr has all the say then its quite daunting and specifically if ur target is straight..I have been 'duped' by some couples and then realised On the meet....she doesnt seem as interested as he is..or indeed actally aware of much of the meets process...thats not me saying the male half must be bi...but perhaps he and partner dont discuss things to well

I've turned up on many a meet and not felt comfortable to be honest..mostly being down to someone telling me when and what and when I should start playing

*I'll try not rant any more lol

I just wish people would give emphasis on the main aspect of meeting people for the possibility of a sexual encounter..that first and foremost(for it being necessary), people should be friendly and warm.

if its fuck sessions that are required...dont be alarmed at finding the many idiots that can fuck great but at the end of anything deeper will fail majorly, and indeed...dont be surprised if all u ever were to them is a cock or pussy or both...

i prefer it if they let me know they still want to cum by text or email, if they dont i assume they have changed their minds reason being is there are so many timewasters on here and i hear the same from others i have met.

I wouldnt chase people not that desperate. just explain to them that you would like them to confirm the evening before if they are still coming if not you will assume they arent coming. They arent doing you a favour, just find someone else.

It takes two partys to arrange a meet, who makes first move does it matter, its not about chasing, dosent mean there arrogant, people simply change minds,

I'm not one for pingpong texting,if I haven't heard from them near to the meet, then I will check all ok,if don't hear back, then obviously its off,I move on,I've never turned up to a private meet and been stood up,as I put in the effort to check

I find as single guy mainly women rude and arrogant. Couples are generally quite polite unless there is an aggressive male involved. Single guys who contact me are always polite not that I bat that way! Lol I do feel as a single guy we are expected to do all the chasing and are quite often made to feel privileged for a meet. If anyone comes across that way I just walk away.

"Just wondering how many other couples have come across this, we've only been on the site for few months but when contacting single guys and arranging a meet, when it gets closer to the date etc, there is no follow-up from the guys, despite them being online on the day!

Are we as a couple suppose to chase them or surely as it's harder for single guys to meet, you'd think they would make more effort in confirming the date?

Seem to be a small minority that think they're doing us a favour by even replying!

"

We've had the same experience on quite a few occasions. We don't let it bother us anymore, We simply remove them from friends and refuse any other offers they make.

"I'd say most men are at the very bottom of the list with regard to the level of arrogance displayed on here. The opening question kind of highlights this too."

I would check their verifications, if verified by couples before then should be nothing to worry about!

I do feel as a single guy we are expected to do all the chasing and are quite often made to feel privileged for a meet.

We would never treat anyone like that we treat others the way we'd like to be treated,

Brighton - even Hove!

Go back up the thread and read what Keensucktographer says. I concur with his sentiment.

Sorry that was meant to reply and quote (god damn this phone) but as a couple we wouldn't make anyone feel as though it's a privilege to meet us and we wouldn't expect anyone to do the chasing

It is very hard for a male to meet anyone . I'm sorry to say that their are some right f**kwits on here that spoil it for everyone else . Whenever I message a woman or couple I'm either ignored , deleted , or time wasted . I like to think I'm polite and honest , and would expect at least a ' no thank you '.

I have took the time to type an ample message , so have at least the decency to respond . If I do get a no thank you , then they get a polite message back saying ' thank you for replying and wish you all the best '. Just a bit of curtesy .

I'll never push for a meet , or pester. Maybe that's why I do find it hard to get a response . Do people really want that ?

In general this site would have a mixture of men , woman , couples , that are rude , and obnoxious .

Shame it's the genuine ones that get tarded with the same brush .

Arrogant men yes

Arrogant women yes

Arrogant couples yes

Arrogant all other categories yes

Anyone has the right to change their mind at any time. I don't consider arrogance to be linked to this op at all

Sex is not compulsory. Even after a few messages.

Ars for single guys being arrogant,,, what you ve described isn t my definition of arrogance,

your thinking as its harder for single guys they d do the chasing,, thats getting more toward my definition of arrogance,

takes respect on both sides ,

"Can't speak for other men on the site but for me, I state in my profile that I'm on here to meet and play, not to exchange endless messages.

Some people get annoyed because I don't want to speak to them every time I'm online.

I tend to arrange a meet and then message later to check it's still on.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I make it perfectly clear in my profile.

Thanks for actually answering the question, that's what we think too, we don't want endless messaging either but a quick confirmation and the details, we would never be arrogant or even waste someone's time."

I don't think it is being arrogant to want somebody to confirm the meet. Whether it is couple meeting a couple, a couple meeting a man, a couple meeting a woman, a woman meeting a man etc everybody wants to confirm the meet is still on.

I don't think the OP expects single men to jump through hoops because they are a couple(I know some couples have this attitude). I think the OP just want the man to confirm the meet is still on and not blank them.

You are basically saying that single men should feel privileged to be meet you and how lucky they are so they should feel greatful and chase you to pander to your ego... Now remind me who we were criticising for being arrogant? "

I like this

When it comes to couples and females thinking that they are doing a favour, single men are mere amateurs in comparison..."

Thats our experience as well there are far more polite single guys percentage wise than couples or single females by far.

Our experience has been that if you ignore the 'this is a free shag a night site' single men, then the 'genuine' males are very polite and we have generally had no problems. One or two have been a bit 'over eager', but when we have said to them they soon back off a bit and for other couples, this may be what they are after.

The most problems like this we have had is from single ladies. Often they seem to just want to chat even though we sa yon our profile that we prefer to play then chat etc. But even then it's a minority and 90% have been fine.

We would avoid anyone who calls others arrogant, fake, timewaster etc. And the woe is me, why can't I get a meet.

"We gave an option of two dates, got no reply and the individual made out that we were timewasters after the dates, we were asking if this happens at all to other couples.

That is nothing like what you said on your first post "

No it was not on the first post ! and neither was......making people jump through hoops, wanting to be chased or thinking that all single guys were arrogant !!! we were asking a question regarding our experience but most seemed to want to split hairs on parts of our post....which is very easy to do but we wont, thanks for all the replies and happy swinging

I am a single guy and my experience on this website has been awful. I am only looking for single women but I haven't had one women message me back showing any interest what so ever. If I see they have read or deleted the message then I won't harass them. Makes me thing I'm a right ugly twat or something lol.

"I might sound arrogant...but I have in my many years of service talked to some fuckwits...they range from the single men, couples, and women.

I can honestly say I dont particularly care if I dont get what I want when its about sex...its a simple case of move on if needed.

the problem IS...some people think they are above others and will try making u jump through hoops...and more often than not it is (in MY experience), the male half of a couple thinking I should be bowing at their presence sort of thing...and I mean this is before the meet is even arranged.

and occasionally...I have the contact from the male half...and it all sounds like a fucking fantasy in his head...then I wish he'd just fuck off because his other half is probably unaware that I exist

sound harsh?- well I dont stipulate much...but its even ground as far as I'm concerned...I have just as much right to manage how and who I meet, without it sounding that I'm disrespectful.

its called having a fucking backbone to be honest."

Well said, some guys on here want to follow your lead and stop pandering to these fucktards, then they would stop living in cloud cuckoo land. The minute the male half if the couple states acting like a diva I block the fool and move on
