we go to a certain part of the coast where its possible to find a whole section of beach to yourself, I sunbathe topless there. However no matter how much space there is or how many other sections of beach there are you can guarantee that someone will come and sit almost right next to us  |

Oh hello. I don't impose my boobies as you so quaintly term my breasts on anyone. If you read my post It says that we go to a part of the coast where you can find a whole section of beach to yourself and nowhere does it say that I continue to sunbathe topless if someone sits near us. |

I think its ridiculous that ypu can go abroad and be naked on most beaches in Spain and topless most beaches but not in uk. Hence we only us naturist beaches.

Strangely enough, for a swinging site, there seems to be a very prudish element on Fab when it comes to subject of partial or full outdoor nudity, even in secluded places.
We wouldn't mind betting that the first thing these naysayers do when they go abroad is to get their tops off on the beach, whether its nudist or not.
If people don't like it on our beaches then move away, the same as we would if there was a bunch of boozy Chavs with screaming kids and a blaring radio near us.
No wonder people feel free to go topless abroad with no problems what so ever when there are so many people perpetuating their prudish, Victorian attitude in this country.

Totally surreal to be seeing this on a swingers site - mildly confused.
I spent much of my childhood in Germany and we always went to the nudist beaches so it doesn't bother me either way.
Only one thing has ever puzzled me about nudist beaches though; why is it that only fat old people people play volley ball on them? |

I fail to see how anyone can possibly be offended by the sight of a pair of breasts. No wonder some women feel they can't breast feed their children in public. If people can't control themselves when they spot a pair of boobs then they quite possibly have issues. |

And the ones who come and sit next to you would probably be the sort to complain lol.
It reminds us of a case some years ago where an old girl reported a young guy across the road for masturbating naked, on his bed in full view of her.
The fact that she could only see him if she went into her loft, climbed onto a chest of drawers and gazed through her skylight to see down into his bedroom made no difference as far as she was concerned.
She also said he did it most days lol.
Her case was quite rightly thrown out!

I think it's perfectly acceptable for both men and women to be topless on a beach. If people don't like it, there's a lot of other things to look at.
The thing bout other people coming to sit near you on an empty beach happens loads. It's a phenomenon.... |

I have a secluded back yard so I can sunbathe naked. I wouldn't sunbathe topless on the beach in my village for obvious reasons. I do when I go abroad though. |

may be ive got used to seeing boobies on show abroad and at clubs.. and with breast feeding in public not being frowned on .. i think nowadays a topless woman on a beach should just be allowed to get on with getting a tan without comment or perving .. anyone would think men have never seen a boob before lol |

BUT...if you are as considerate as nicecouple, and go to a secluded part of a beach, then others move into the area, they can hardly get upset at it, imho.
would be like the old biffer thats bought a house 100 yards from the factory i deliver to, then decided to complain to the council about the noise lol |

I don't mind really ..... just some places in the world I go too you cant go nude would be locked up , Madives its a no no and I hate it if families around not my thing .. would only if over 18 nude beach . |

On the beaches we go to on the continent women are mostly topless whether they have their children with them or not. Its a question of what's acceptable and in the UK I don't think its widely accepted yet. |

Definitely not widely accepted here, that's obvious from the responses to it even on a site like this.
The last naturist beach I went to in France was full of people of all ages - kids to wrinklies.
People are so oppressed in this country that even a hint of side boob gets them hot and bothered. |

Its not the people going topless who are demonising nakedness.
The more it becomes the norm the less impact it will have. If people keep protecting their kids from simple nudity it actually has the reverse effect of making it more attractive by being forbidden. If everyone was topless or nude on beaches then noone would be bothered within a few days. |

you only need to look at these boards to find people attitudes to any form of showing skin, let alone and form of nudity.
threads about kylie/britney/mylie's new music video's and comments of 'phwoarr'
look at her arse

and so on, to see how its taken.
until these attitudes change towards plashing a little flesh, its never going to be acceptable for what it is, and never going to be non sexualised, no matter what type of utopian beach holiday any of us would like to anjoy |

You're not as open minded as you like to think, that's apparent by your comments.
The issue is with attitude. If you get your rocks off from nudity, the issue is with you, not the nakedness. Some people get off on stockings, does that mean they shouldn't be shown to children?
Children see nakedness from the very earliest stages of their lives, it doesn't bother or interest them in anyway. It is adults (in this country) that teach them to hide it.
As for the 'world we live in', it's a big world. This small country doesn't represent it. |

A good number on these forums are so prudish they can't even tolerate full nudity in the confines of a swinging community profile so there's bound to be lots of hand-wringing about getting boobs out in public.
