Closely trimmed and just shave round the lips.

Have you tried shaving with a man's 5 blade razor and baby oil or conditioner?

Green tea oil from the body shop. Dilute it with water. Works for all areas of shaving

Ask someone to do it for you you will still probably get a rash but at least it will be worth it!

By (user no longer on site)  over a year ago

Use a good sharp razor and let the shaving foam/gel soak for a few mins. Then use decent amount of moisturiser after and rub it in

Use conditioner instead of shaving cream/gel. Try a sunbed, seems to clear mine up and never get a rash when on holiday...

this. Great post shave or post wax. Exfoliate every other day to make sure you don't get in growing hairs and dab on tea tree post shower.

I always apply bio oil to wet skin, and then use Dr Bronners magic soap (almond) I have never suffered with shaving rash since using this...

Avoid pfb vanish. That stuff has given me malteaser sized ingrowns but caused all other skin to peel. Too harsh an exfoliant and too pore clogging

Even I'm having difficulties shaving myself, I keep getting rash all the time even though I've used lots of pre and post shaving creams. It's annoying me.

P.S. Amazing profile, had to pervert your pictures. Looking beautiful!

Hot wax, hurts like hell at the time (kind of nice tho ) but leaves the skin really soft, smooth & no redness....

Shaving rash used to drive me bonkers... I shave the delicate bits with a wet razor and hair conditioner, the top pubic area I use an electric razor. Works a treat for me. Good luck!!

I use a beauty trimmer - guaranteed not to nick or cut you - followed up by a foil headed shaver to get the really short hairs off - if you try this, use some talc on the area before you start, it will make the hairs 'stand up' for easy removal. If you want the name of the one I use just in-box me

I shave my Gentleman's particulars in the shower under running water. No gel or soap as that an cause a rash. Just a clean disposable razor.

Brings the little fellas up like snooker balls!

Have been shaving for years and have found that the best way is to let it have a good soaking in the shower , apply more soap and then only shave downwards with a sharp razer , never upwards . That's what gives me a rash

freshly waxed here - mild burn as after 4 weeks as the hairs were too short. I'll be smooth and rash free now though Just got to exfoliate, but it's a relief from the bastard shave rashes

(damn stooopid typey fingas)

Hey the best thing about fanny beards is you can do a head stand and i check out if a chin beard suites me. Everyone's a winner.

Top quality razor. Something with five blades. Don't have water too hot (razor burn can affect fannies as well) Good brand of shaving foam. Moisturise afterward. Nice

Most of this applies to men as well as the OP.

Don't shave immediately you get up as the hairs retract.

Do shower, or have a bath, first as it's important to get the hairs wet and soft.

I suggest using a shaving soap and brush; it's fun and it's inexpensive compared to the gels, foams and creams.

Do not use a disposable razor; these are fitted with blades that are 'imperfect' for the more expensive razor cartridges.

Do take your time and repeat over each area; I will always shave my facial area five times, each morning, for a smooth shave.

See my profile for shaving options and laser hair removal (ladies only).
