Get the same all the time, we ask questions & either get one word answers or they just repeat what we have written. So fed up with guys thinking they can send you a couple of words & you should be grateful that they want to fuck you that you will not need any answers to any questions. |

I've had that but I don't pursue them. If they can't be arsed to put effort into a conversation they aren't going to be my cup of tea between the sheets. Often they have made the first contact too, you'd expect a bit more enthusiasm. |

I can tell whether it has legs by the initial conversations. Even if I'm asking open questions and still not getting much back in terms of insight or even personality then I move on, quickly. |

Yes, this does my nut in. I understand that there may be occasions when a long reply isn't practical (walking down the street typing on a phone for example). But even then a quick reply indicating they they will get back properly later would be nice.
Also agree with the chap that mentioned his annoyance at people who avoid answering questions. I mean, what's that about.
Of course, dealing with thee people is easy (block or inform them that it's not going to happen).
At the end of the day what we are after here is some horny fun - bit of respect would be nice. If you can't be arsed to string a sentence together then jog on. |

I'll usually reply with messages that are just as vague...or ask them to let me know when they're free and that usually brings an end to any conversation |

This thread was looking at people who give single syllable / single word answers to reasonable questions. Now if they can't muster together a few words to reply then it's a reasonable assumption to figure that they don't have a grasp of the basics in human intrtaction and I'm sorry but, that's a bit of a warning sign. Yes, we're here to enjoy some sexy fun - doesn't mean it's a free for all and any retard can get his/ her rocks off by saying something like 'I wnt da fk u'
I mean, honestly.... Make a freekin effort. |

I don't think one word replies mean the person is unintelligent. It's more likely to mean the person just isn't interested.
Unfortunately I think some people feel they do have to reply even if they're not interested, maybe because of all the moaning forum topics about not getting replies... |

Have to say this has happened on a few occasion to me as well. Yeah its frustrating as hell but you have to take the rough with the smooth because when they do have good banter and conversation with you its means it will often work out for the best. I tend to give them a little chance then if no joy move on.. GL OP |

I try and respond with a few questions and try and initiate conversations even if we get a short 'how are you?' Message.
Alot of men (personal observation) is that they skim through your message just to see if there is a time and date of a meet. If there isn't then all we get is a short message back totally ignoring questions..most just want a shag without the conversation lol |

so people who have learning difficulties shouldn't feel offended by people who use the word retard? it's a bit like saying someone who hasn't got a physical disability being told they can't sit in a disabled spot on the bus and yes I am classed as disabled |

Good old Urban dictionary for those that don't like Steven Fry!
The R-word, retard(ed), was used in the past to describe a person with an intellectual or developmental disability. Since then, it has morphed into a slang word to mean things like “stupid” or “idiotic.” Many people think it is socially acceptable to use the r-word in this way but the truth is, it hurts and dehumanizes those with an intellectual disability and their family and friends. The Spread the Word to End the Word movement was created to end the pejorative use of the R-word and promote dignity and respect for people with intellectual disabilities. Join the movement by pledging to end the r-word at r-word.org and vote this definition to the top.
Person 1: I'm so retarded; I forgot to get milk at the grocery store.
Person 2: Hey, I would appreciate it if you didn’t use that word around me anymore. When you use "retarded" as a synonym for "stupid" or "idiotic," you are saying that all people with intellectual disabilities are stupid, and that’s definitely not true. |

doesn't matter what context it's used in, it's a disgusting word to use and there are more suitable words to use like "stupid" "idiot" rather than that one.
example: would you like it if you had a mental disability and someone used the word retard? I bet not |

When some people get a ton of messages, it may take some time for you and your mails to stand out from the rest. There may also be quite a lag, if youre not all online at the same time. The secret is to pick those that you are really interested in, and then make yourself stand out. Too many questions to them and it is like an inquisition and possibly intrusive. Pace others, as their interest and speed may not have matched yours. If emails work poorly for you, consider changing your style, media or your rejection criteria. |

Yes however he wasn't really referring to something like this.
And I imagine that Stephan fry being a reasonably decent person like most when told by someone that using a word that slurs their disability makes them uncomfortable would graciously accept that and not use it around them.
Why deliberately do things to upset others? |

When I say retard it's aimed at the type who reply in that "I wnt da fk u" type of manner and let's be brutally honest here. Who in their right mind would find that appealing.
No, we enjoy a bit of fun but that doesn't mean we all need to communicate in Neanderthal grunts.

Derived from the French retard meaning late or delayed and literally would be "late developer" however it was always simply used to include nearly all developmental disabilities much as spastic was to cover most seizure related ones. Now people use it as a synonym for stupid.
Would you call a person with cerebal palsy a spastic as they once would have been or would you think that rude |

"Good old Urban dictionary for those that don't like Steven Fry!
I bet not
Is it, in what way, do you know it's real meaning??
Derived from the French retard meaning late or delayed and literally would be "late developer" however it was always simply used to include nearly all developmental disabilities much as spastic was to cover most seizure related ones. Now people use it as a synonym for stupid.
Would you call a person with cerebal palsy a spastic as they once would have been or would you think that rude"
What's your point?? |

If they make first contact and I message back, i try always to put a question in to get the conversation going. If they reply with a one word answer, then I don't bother to reply.
If they can't be arsed to write a few words what's the sex going to be like. |

Although we don't expect anyone to write a reply as long as War and Peace I do find the one-words or a close sentence not very appealing and have taken it to mean that the other person isn't that interested and we move on.
I'm very appalled in this day and age that certain words referenced to people with disabilities, are still being used as derogatory terms as a way to associate the behaviour of some people with them. People who may find speaking and writing challenging,it doesn't mean they are not intelligent. All because someone in the public eye makes a skit about it, doesn't make it ok.
