As an alternative to Skype
There's a great browser based video conferencing website called "appear dot in" which uses html5 and works straight in the browser page. letting up to 8 people share the screen with their webcams.
It only works on firefox, chrome and opera browsers but it is well worth giving it a go

weve had that problem a few times, we do cam on Skype occasionally |
