See my perspective had little to do with testosterone aggression or even competition x I took the concept at face value which was most sex and attraction from the female sex .
In the animal Kingdom All known methods are used from violent testosterone fueled aggression to sophisticated articulate singing with some pretty nifty colourful dancing in between x

humans are animals first and foremost. we aren't seperate from them. each person has their own idea of what 'alpha' is. the alpha is whatever the woman thinks has the highest chance of protecting her and her offspring from harm for the longest amount of time. the aggressive twat types discussed in the thread are alpha to some women because its a territorial display which communicates ' i protect what is mine' to some women. the considered type discussed above is also alpha to some women for much the same reason. it's all in perception, and highly subjective. likewise, men go for their ideal of the alpha female. |

Agreed! A true alpha male as far as my definition goes....proves it by just being who they are....in their presence...attitude...confidence... not by being loud, aggressive and shouting about it. |

If we are contacted by a guy stating in his profile about being a bull/Dom or alpha then we politely reply that's not our thing and they invariably come back with 'but I can just play straight, not Dom/bull/alpha' even though that is the main thrust of their profile. We feel that in their mind, at a meet they'd still be considering themselves in charge and that's not for us. |

it is one of those things that I think people sometimes put on their profiles because they believe it makes them "sound good".. and they want to try and cover as many bases as possible... so then they try and "backtrack" if it is not working the way they want it to.....
sound good in their heads... but not so good to the people who actually read it |
