"Haven't been there for years but watch out for the shelving beach - it gets very deep not far out."
Not sure they are interested in swimming
Fair point however!
You forgot to mention the windbreaks though

We'd never heard of Slapton Beach to be honest - so did a google on it and there is no mention of anything overly interesting happening there unless you're a war historian lol Though there was some mention of large weapons

Well, if tomfoolery goes on there it isn't good for it to be well publicised! Z |

"In 1946, 749 US soldiers and sailors were killed in a disaster at Slapton during the D-Day Landing training excercise.
Wow - what's your middle name - 'party pooper'? Z"
I think his middle name is 'will mix'........ |

Slapton beach is a well-known nudist beach. Although there is no physical divide, it is basically split into two parts. Torcross half is just a normal beach but the Strete end is the nudist part. If you park up in the carpark at the Strete Gate end, hit the beach and walk left, your going into nudist territory. It's really easy going with a mixture of people. Certainly some fun to be had usually, especially towards the back of the beach. PM me for more details or if you're interested in meeting. |

Slapton is ok but hard going as the walk from the car park to the far left of the beach is very heavy under foot as the pebbles are tiring.
Avoid early evenings in the summer months as you get a lot of student beach barbecues, they tend to like messing up the fun for swingers.
One final suggestion about Slapton, take plenty of fluids as it can get very hot in high summer and there are no facilities for refreshments. |

We try and visit Slapton as much as possible, it is near Dartmouth in Devon. We have had some very pleasant fun there.
As previuosly mentioned it does now appear to attract a lot of 'students' having barbecues etc. |
