So... March 7th is national 'go commando ' day. It's all to raise awareness for testicular and prostate cancer. If anyone needs a sticker to promote this they are available from branches of Paddy Power.

Who's taking part and ditching the pants?

If it makes people talk about the issues then it's worked. Men on the whole don't talk about problems they may have untill it's too late hence prostate and testicular cancer having high mortality rates.

Titz Towers, North Notts

I'll need more notice to get a black handled dagger and to find a German who can go 'Argh' when shot and a chap from Tokyo to go 'Aiieee'.*

Only a certain amount of peeps will get this.

So much is done and publised for cervical and breast cancer in women but testicular and prostrate cancer in men is just as bad. Should be more done for these cancers. xx

The whole idea behind national Go Commando day , and wearing the sticker, is to raise awareness and get people talking about the issues.

Women if the find a lump or something not quite right will automatically confide in a friend . Men on the other hand will generally bury their head in the sand and hope it just goes away. It's as if there is some sort of social conditioning that prevents them from talking about it to a friend. This is what needs to change
