"been shaving since Christmas .. booked in for tomorrow as ........ I just cant stand the rash! mmm smooothnesssss! "
Just curious, I am presuming its your bits you are having waxed and not your chest, so where does a guy go to get waxed? Is it a beauty salon? |

There is a very good beauty salon a mile or so away, though the woman I see only does male grooming so it's not a teen just ripping away. She 10 miles away, cheaper and works for herself so hires a room in a health and wellbeing studio |

I don't understand the fixation with hairless...I love my chest hair and a bit of pubic...I personally think it looks a bit odd when its bald and rashy down below and the skin feels a little 'tacky'each to there own...
I was contemplating it but I've had numerous ladies reply with 'thank fuck you've got chest hair' when I send a pic...so I'm staying fuzzy.. |

Its an intimate waxing that I get. I'm pretty hairless really, no back or large amounts of chest hair. I've been shaving since my early 20's but last year, I realised I am getting a bloody hunch doing it so thought, why shave when a wax will last 3-4 weeks. There's no fuss, it's done, and apart from exfoliating you dont have to think about it.
You dont get any rash at all but ingrowing hairs are a bug bear, but are manageable |

Think it would kill me lol "
if it's strip waxing - yes it would. She has shown me the different types of waxing, she uses one designed for 'intimate' regions. It does make you clench the first time, but after that it's like taking a plaster off. The wax is peeled off not... stripped with one of those bits of cloth |

"There is a product called tend skin, you apply that a few days after you've been waxed and it really helps minimise ingrowns, rashes and bumps. You can buy it on amazon "
I doubt I'll buy it, but thanks |

In all seriousness though - how many would recommend a wax? I shave but if not very very careful can suffer from the odd bump and ingrown hair, which as we all know - are horrible!
Do you still get the same amount of ingrown hairs with a wax? |

if you get the right wax for each area, it good - no hair growth for a good 2-3 weeks for me. The only issue is in growing hairs, but if you exfoliate you can stay on top of them. Plus exfoiliation means you can smooth over your smooth bits regularly lol I am just a constant horn sorry. |

you do get a massive reaction on the first wax, just to say. With me it was like ice for 5 days solid - kinky but I couldnt brush the skin never mind touch it. The second time there were no issues at all despite my apprehension.

I didn't get much of a reaction first wax. It was a bit red but nice and smooth. Only lasted a week before i had a stubble again, although not as much as with shaving.
Pretty disappointed so I'm back on shaving again now. |

I'm really keen on trying waxing. There is an interesting place in London that does men only sugaring. I hear it's less painful and lower chance of ingrown. |

Er strip I think... she put it on with a spatula then smoothed on a strip before pulling it off. I expected it to hurt but it was only occaisionaly a bit stingy. No impairment to conversation. |

well after a few months of not having it done, have to say it hurt. I was a little short though (maybe 1/2 cm). Honestly dont know if strip is different to the peely stuff as far as regrowth though .. but it does last for me |

I did ask about how quickly it regrows in another post. I was told by some very helpful ladies that it takes a few visits to get all the hair growing at the same time. I have to say though that a good quality razor seems to get my leggies lovely and smooth and I can but quite a few razors for the cost of a waxing |
