For all you haters, sometimes we have reasons.
My wife of nearly 15 years prefers wine to me and her family.
For all you lovey dovey couples; things happen. But sometimes people need something or someone outside of their daily lives. Don't hate them for it. Please try to understand that they are not as lucky as you. x |

Fair do's to you lad but if you're really that unhappy with your marriage, maybe consider a break? In my opinion it's not the cheating that's bad it's the lying that comes with it |

We don't all judge those who 'play-away' for their moral choices, after-all to many swinging is pretty immoral so we're not exactly in a position to throw stones.
I personally don't concern myself with a man or womans marital status, it's an issue for that persons conscience not mine. |

I imagine he is but he's said things about his wife that we have no way of knowing are true in a public forum. That was why I asked why he'd posted it. |

I don't recall ever having seen someone on the forum say they hate "cheaters". Many disapprove and won't knowingly play with them and that is their choice just as it is yours to seek sex outside of your marriage.
None of us has the right to judge you since we know nothing of your circumstances other than what you have said in your OP but we do all have the right to choose who we have sex with. Similarly you have no right to judge those that choose not to meet married men/women since you do not know their circumstances either. |

Dont think "luck" comes into it really OP... You either fix it if its broken ( or at least try) or accept it not what it was or what you want and make ya choices. Things are never clear cut . Is always 3 sides to every story, yours, theirs and the truth! |

I feel for you. No one gets a pat on the back or a round of applause for staying in a bad relationship and not cheating. I know it's not easy to get out, I've been there. I didn't cheat and what did it get me? Fuck all, so do what you want and live your life your way. You live once and once only. I do hope your wife gets help with her drinking. It's not a good life |

It is luck. You pick the short straw when your wife or husband turns into a monster/d*unk for whatever reason. No one can see the future and selfish people don't like to change. Let's all not assume he's embellishing the truth to justify himself. He needs some comfort in his life he isn't getting from her. Couples who allow their partners to fuck other people are lucky |

I dont judge anyone for what they do or dont do. Their decisions and choices... Difficult to comment 100% when only a small % known.

I have no excuse for cheating other than I love meeting new people for sex! |

I wonder why women put drink before family myself. The ones I know do it out of a selfish desire for enjoyment. One woman drank herself to death and left 5 children behind including a 7 yr old. This woman had a caring family but preferred drink |

Quitting addictions are about self-control and willpower, surely if she cared enough for her family she would use that to find some willpower to stop. I'm not saying addictions are easy to stop but if its effecting others she supposedly cares about, that should surely be more than enough of a motive to stop. That's my opinion anyway |

It's completely different though, you don't choose for your shit to be watery, as you have a choice weather to drink alcohol or not. Yes it has withdrawal symptoms but the only cure is to just stop drinking.., where as with diarrhoea you can just stop shitting |

You have to take your first drink to become addicted. I understand about mental health and addiction. If she had this genetic predilection then nothing he did would make a difference would it. If she had never taken a drink in her life she wouldn't have the disease. You can't catch alcohol |

If you're telling me it doesn't take will power and self control to quit an addiction tell me what it does. You can get support all you want but end of the day it's down to the abuser to stop and stay clear of it after? |

" when a person is in the depths of addiction they are very ill and a mental and physical addiction takes all reasoning so it takes support and a withdrawal program to get clean! will power at this stage won't work
but you're right once clean it is their responsibility to stay clean with discipline continuously asking for help, helping other Addicts and keeping away from that first drink or drug that would lead them back into that hole! so once they are clean yes it is will power along with other things ! |

Which is what I was trying to make a point of but I think I worded it in a bit of a harsh way! But even so to start a withdrawal programme or to even so much as to decide to stop for others takes will-power |

I suspect this runs much deeper than mere attention seeking or looking for validation. Maybe stop this thread, think the guy regrets posting the message.
