Okay so I take it there's a few different meanings to it! I wasn't slating them was just generally confused to how a couple could be professional, still yet to see 'amateur couple' though! |

Funnily enough I was studying last night, and it explained the difference between a 'professional' and someone that is not.
I found out I'm a 'professional' because I need qualifications to do my job.
Won't be using it on my profile any time soon though. |

I once saw a man on here describe himself as "Professional" - when I asked about it, he said that he was a professional lorry driver...
Aside from that, it's a word that always puts me off a profile. |

What if you have super qualifications but not in a job that uses them. What if one of you is and one of you isn't professional. So many questions.

Very few people have jobs that would mean they are "professionals" Although we all know what the oldest profession is, lol.
I think what they mean is usually just gainfully employed.
I don't want to judge people by their job as it's so frightfully boring 99% of the time, I don't even care if folks have a job to be honest. It's of no relevance to anything related to fucking strangers so I don't really get what people are trying to convey to others by putting it on their profile. |

Technically 'professional' means a self employed member in good standing with a professional body. Few professionals today actually qualify as most are employed. That includes lawyers, doctors etc. et al. |

I would expect someone who states professional on their profile to act in a professional manner i.e be dressed smartly,be polite, be prompt and be nice. I'd hope that they weren't too nice in bed. In real life I've had sex with professional men and some are filthy |

I've had all of that from people irrespective of their assessment of their employment status though, I find the term "professional" a turn off. This isn't Linkedin. |

It's just a misleading title, a professional singer tends to be a good singer and get paid for it so i was lead to think maybe professional couples are good at relationships and get paid for it haha, don't bite my head off anyone, just my first thoughts, I understand now haha |
