I disagree they are accepted and part of life but crossdressers are not . How many crossdressers can walk down the street without hassle. A friend of mine was told to leave a pub as they didnt want "your kind " in here but gay and lesbians fine |

I was a massive tomboy as a kid, still a bit now but no one looks twice at a woman wearing men's clothes. Its sad some people can't just accept people for who they are. |

"I crossdress my self and found it hard to accept myself for who I am but now have good support and encouragement from friends and am slowly doing it more and more "
Good on you it takes a lot to come to terms with yourself. I have dressed for my whole life first 11 years not my choice |

I think if people don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all and keep your negative thoughts to yourself. I have no problem with people's sexuality and I say let them be themselves |

"How is it crossdressers are so slated. gay men and lesbians are widely accepted but crossdressers different matter . What do you think" Well people should be who they wish to be in this day and age as long as not hurting others ...... It takes a lot for some TV to come out and I say if you wish to do it ... but cant be easy at times as some people have very closed minds to different things.

It can be difficult and there are always a few nasty bigoted people about, but in general I find the muggles to be quite pleasant towards me when I'm out shopping.
When out around Leeds on the First Friday nights, or around Newcastle they can be not just pleasant, but enthusiastic, curious and supportive, particularly the females.

It's not always obvious if someone is gay, bi or lesbian. However, for the majority of crossdressers it is easy to spot, unless they are really convincing. I'm sure if a bunch of butch lesbians in dungarees or really camp gay guys hit a pub they'd get the odd look from people, too.
Having said that, I've hit straight bars, not many admittedly, but never had any trouble, just one adverse comment that I don't think I was meant to hear in all honesty. |

Ive been to one swinfers club and everyone was pleasant but no one wanted to play. I might have been a bit full on but got the impression men dont want others to know they would play with a tv. The girls seemed fine but i dont think their partners wanted them to play alone with me as they werent getting anything out of it.
It might be i came on too strong of course but i expected swingers to be up for playing...
Its a problem for me cos i like playing with couples (not just girls) more than just playibg exclusivrly with men.
Dont know if this helps, ive got a thread on thus theme elsewhere on here.

Was the night you went to this club a bi night? If so is it run like the chams one where they try to ensure all the guys are bi and the ladies Bi tolerant on that night?
If there were a mix of straight guys there then it's bound to make the bi guys shy.
There's nothing more awkward than being told 'sorry mate I'm straight' when you approach someone. Chams bi night that shouldn't happen. They might still not fancy you of course ! |
