1st, let me just say this is not a moaning topic, I've been here long enough to know what fab is  .
Now the topic.....
What do you do when you've run out of people you could possibly meet?
I've been here 18 months and when I joined I was sending and receiving a lot of messages. But as the months passed by, the amount of people I haven't messaged or messaged me before has become less and less. There's only a finite of people in my area.
I'll more than likely cast the net further, but not being able to drive, does limit my options.
LIKE I SAID, THIS ISN'T A MOANING TOPIC... just curious as there's people who have been a member here a lot longer than me.

not really going to help, but i have to ask.
how has someone got to 40 years of age, these days when everything and everywhere is designed around the ability to, without learning to drive?
much apart from my job, as a driver, i couldnt function day to day without being able to, as telford really is designed around the ownership of a motor vehicle, as is most other new towns.
just wondering.
on topic, yes casting a bigger net, slightly further afield would help |

I worked my way through the available single guys willing to meet me in York some time ago. I now have to travel further afield, so visit Leeds a lot, or go to the Fab Forum socials. OK, it means I won't get to have regular meets with these guys but then that's not really what I am looking for. |

PS I don't drive either. Although I suspect using public transport is easier from York than from Halifax. |

When I get to that stage I will retire. Maybe have a serious relationship. I live in a town near a big city so there are a lot of options for me. You will have to travel further by the look of it. |

Venus one of my regular partners is almost 36 and doesn't drive. He was born and lives in the city so never needed a car. My sister can't drive because of eye problems. I don't have a car but manage ok. It's a slower life with no car |

Have to agree with the OP, I don't have a car right now so am limited by distance, aren't attracted to many women in my local area, and unlike most single guys, my frustrations don't come from being ignored, but rather simply not being able to find anyone I particularly want to meet. |

I got to 41 without driving. Rich finally talked me into it and I've now driven everything from little cars to buses, lorries and even a jcb!
I now wonder how I did without a car but I certainly did. Much of the time I didn't have anyone to drive me either. |

new people join from this area all the time so we don't appear to be running out of victims.....er I mean meets yet but I could see how it would happen. Socials are a great way to meet new people if the opportunity arises  .
As far as driving goes my brother is 47 and doesn't drive neither does my son, sometimes it makes more economic sense not to. |

Oh don't get me wrong you see some stunners around Coventry, especially in the summertime, but I'd imagine these ladies get so much male attention that even knowing how to approach them would be difficult. |
