I'm wondering about your thoughts with regards to winks.
Is it lazy?
Icebreaker?
For me I see it as interest has been shown, so if winked back a more formal introduction can be made.
Your thoughts please.

Love to give and receive winks.
I usually accompany it with a message or if I get a wink back, I'll follow up with a message.
Just a nice, chilled way of getting someone's attention. |

No problem with winks, see it as a show of interest. If I send one and its reciprocated I follow it with a short friendly message and expect the same from a winker |

I don't mind receiving winks, I see it as a quick and easy expression of interest. If I like the profile I usually send a message and I've had a few successful meets that way.
I don't send winks though! if a carefully thought out message gets deleted without a response what chance does a wink stand? or is that where I'm going wrong! |

I am a fan of both sending and receiving winks as well. For me it's just a nice way of saying "hey I'd like to get to know you" if they wink back then great...If not oh well. |

I've had a couple of winks after I'd fabbed their pics which ended in 2 good meets but also, messaged a guy who winked at me then he deleted my message without reply so bit baffled but on the whole I like them. |

and why would a person delete a message from somebody as delightfully bonkers as you? |

"I don;t respond to winks and I don;t give them.
I would much prefer someone to have read my profile and have found something to say..
"
I always read someone's profile before winking, I'm showing interest and I hope they will read our profile. If they wink back, like others here, we then respond with a fuller message and maybe pics and tel no. Think it's a good way to break the ice. As for finding something to say, what are you looking for? Marks out of 10 for presentation?
Prefer to find something to say over the phone or face to face ourselves. |
