When you have full face shots, nude and full sex pictures in your public photographs it makes me wonder what in earth is left in the 'friends only' section.

I don't put nude pics in my public section. The public section should be the part that grabs attention. then once you get to know someone a little, you let them into the inner sanctum,
Some of the sexiest female profiles I've seen have some artfully taken pics where the "lady bits" are covered. It's great to leave something to the imagination.
If you click on a profile and there is a beaver staring you in the face, what is there left to discover?  |

Nope this profile had several full face shots of both her and him. Nudity and sex and then 2 friends only shots - just wondering what was left to still show and reserved for friends only lol |

I don't give strangers open access to my home, so I also view it as normal to not have complete access to what reveals more about someone.
Everyone is going to be different about the pics that they have in private. Some may rotate pics, and keep some private, as it may sustain profile freshness. Perhaps the pics are old.
Also, some people won't want to have their identities linked publicly to swinging and more minority sexual pursuits. Fab and other sites are completely accessible.
With facial recognition software about in the public and government domains, then they may also understand that whatever is on the net is basically there forever, and may not be solely used for the purposes that they initially wanted. Technology will also change, and it means that what could be possible in the future is also going to be much more powerful than right now. Once personal material is out there, then it could be used for unspecified purposes in the future.
Not every member of fab will share the same values as each other. There are people who have had their sexual interests passed to employers, neighbours and family, and so I feel it is quite right and healthy to maintain a sense of control and limitation, until comfortable with just who gets what. I don't have an extensive photo collection in private, but my identity belongs to me, and what others get is decided by me. |
