I don't block all guys. I block loads though. Don't take it to heart. It's just I know what kind of guy I am looking for. If you don't fit then you get blocked. That's better, as then you don't waste time emailing me back and forth and so on. Its not done to be nasty just to save everyone's time

"I understand couples an single females must get loadsss of messages. But why block every one"
They may well be looking for single guys, but are so overwhelmed with messages that they have to block just to keep up with the ones they've received. Yes it's shit but that's what happens when the supply of single males so vastly outweighs the demand. |

"Perhaps they mail people they are interested in and don't want loads of messages to sort through. "
That would be it. The "don't call us, we'll call you" thing. |

"There are some that block single males and then list meets looking for single males, they make me laugh"
Thats right. There is one girl who always puts on her status looking to meet tonight with a single guy. yet nobody under 99 year old can contact her haha |

I have single males filtered out, if I want to meet a single male I will send out the messages, reason being when I opened this profile before I even had any pictures or text on the profile my inbox went into overload, single guys mailing saying how sexy I was and did I want to meet! |

That could be she wants to meet one of her friends or someone she has already talked to before that won't be blocked because of her filters |

i have active message filters aginst single males.. the reason me doing so is due to the fact that i used to get over 100 post a day from single guys who couldnt be bothered to read my profile.. most of these males were not what i was looking for.. |

"There are some that block single males and then list meets looking for single males, they make me laugh"
Why? They could be letting the men, they've contacted previously know that a meet is wanted. (hotlist/friends list)
They can also take off the single male filter for 1/5/10 minutes &/or use their looked at me & contact someone that appeals.
If i listed a meet then id still chose for myself. Whether that person was able to pm me or not.
Listing a meet doesn't mean someone has to sift through messages from unsuitable or undesired men nor does it give anyone the right to send an unwanted pm |

I sympathise with the women on this and similar sites. I even get sad that this sort of thread ever gets started; surely people can work out why for themselves? It often seems that men are so full of themselves that they can't believe any person actually is selective and would prefer to meet a specific type/age/skill base. OMG - I sound like an employment agent! (Nothing wrong with that necessarily) |

I block everyone when I'm not looking to meet for a while or am chatting to a prospective meet. Men don't all read status's saying not meeting at the moment |

Why do guys automatically assume that just because a woman or couple who have a meet up wanting to meet guys think that just because they respond regarding the meet they are guaranteed a fuck? |

To be fair I do normally go along with the 'they get so many guys mailing them, they'd rather just pick and choose' line. However I've just had couple view my profile who have said they do not want single guys. It also says this at the top of their 'Looking For' bit, 'Not looking for single guys.' Why the fuck do you look at their profile? If I see a profile that says black many only or no bi guys I just go on past. I'm pretty well experienced at this game now and try to take it easily and as I find it, however it must get confusing for newer people. |

I think it's the fact that she was looking to meet tonight with someone over 99 years old that was being remarked upon |

We use the message filters for single guys. We don't normally allow then to contact us, but do if we have an event coming up or something like that.
Sorry to say the reason for this is the amount of stupid messages single guys send. Especially in the early hours... The "wanking message" lol
Not to tar al single guys with same brush, but c'mon guys you know lots of you do this!! |

If people are selective about who they meet they are going to look at profiles as part of the selection process surely? If they show on your Looked at Me list it simply means that they have selected your profile as an option, they may or may not have studied it. Looking at profiles is just part of the "pick and choose" process. |

"I find it amusing when couples publish a "meet me" asking for males, but then have selected the "Not looking for single males" option. " though looking for guys it just saves hundreds of unwanted messages, couples are capable of selecting who they want when they want |

The site automatically puts not looking for single guys onto a profile when the filter is ticked.
Putting not looking for single guys is an attempt to stop single guys messaging.
Don't forget forum users are a very small minority of this site & swingers.
Just because forum users respect others choices & preferences, well the others don't.
The number of single men that will 'try anyway' is why the site has filters.
Using a very small age range was advised to prevent a lot of unwanted pm but as with any filter, its voided as soon as the profile winks/fr s/pms anyone.
Meaning they can go look themselves without the agro of dealing with incoming |

I am not looking for single males and my profile says this. I haven't blocked messages from single guys and reply with a thanks but no thanks message. But my question is, why do I still get messages from single guys asking to meet? Can't you read? Lol xx |

I don't have a blanket block, but I do block guys quite freely. Number one reason is dishonesty about their sexuality, saying that they're straight, only looking for women, then hitting on me, a cross dresser. Another reason is failing to show for a meet. I put a lot of effort and planning into my meets, sometimes even taking a day off work for someone who has pushed my buttons in the right way. if they then cant be bothered to show, then goodbye forever! |

Not showing up for an arranged meet is something that deserves instant blocking!! X |

Ha the simple answer is they can't read. I'm like you haven't blocked single males but still get messages from them. Those that haven't read my profile don't get a reply anymore because they obviously wouldn't be able to read it. |

Perhaps they are looking for meets with those single men on their friends list or those that they have spoken to previously. (They can message even with the single male block on) |

We are not looking for single guys unless we fancy a little change/treat for Leslie but don't block many at all unless they hound us with serial winks messages and friend request's or they are local guys that we know and don't want them knowing out little secret ha ha |

So if you're not currently meeting, you're not allowed to look at someones profile? I must have missed that rule!

I think it's a few with no respect that ruin it for all the single guys!! |
