I am all in favour of the wink facility on here, i think it is a great and fun way of displaying mutual attraction.

What does everyone else think?

Personally I wouldn't respond to a wink...i do check out their profile when I have one, but even if they match my criteria, i dismiss them for the sheer laziness of not having messaged me

I dont really look at the winks folder at all !! Sometimes when I am reading someones veri's or see a post on here - I'll click on the profile and see the persons winked at me - that sometimes encourages me to message.

I must say I use it to wink at guys - I think guys check their winks more ? I usually get a response !! X

We use winks as an indication that we like someones profile and would like to get to know them better, the cyber equivalent of the "smile across a crowded room".

I think its actually better to wink than to clutter up their inbox, they can check us out, if there's a mutual interest then the messages can start.

A wink is the same as a smile in a social setting. If you get a smile back the you could go over and say hello, or in this case a wink back means they could be interested, so send a message and see if you have grounds to take it further.

If you see it anyother way, then that's your issue.

I don't think it is laziness, its just like smiling at someone to signify interest. if there is mutual attraction then the messaging can start

So why not just wink back. Some people use the wink to see if your interested without u having to read mail. Then if u show an interest back will send a message

I wink because non paying members wouldn't know I have viewed their profile, its the only way to see if and who has looked at you.

It's always flattering to receive a wink across a crowded room

we often send a wink to someones profile if we like what we see

often get a wink back, so then start messaging them, and see where it goes

think its a good thing

I agree. I winked at someone last night and it looks like I've scored!

I agree with the winks... when I receive one if I dont like the persons profile ill ignore the wink.... I think its much easier that way than reading a message and replying with a no thanks.

Everyone uses this site and its features in a way that suits them...if we were all the same we'd be a utopian society like the people of Logans Run and and executed when we reached that age...hear hear for difference, variety, and the spice of life!
