Errr.....well that's very subjective isn't it.
I consider myself a real man. Yeah I know, funny isn't it.
I've been in the armed forces and police force, I do a mans job in a mans world now, I have nothing to prove to anyone and am supremely confident in my sexuality, yet obviously in touch with my feminine side enough to do what I do.
But most people assume because of the latter part, all the former parts dont exist. |

I don't think its funny, but what's intersting is the things you choose to show and said repersent a "real man" ie armed forces, now a lot of people will agree with that but do you think that because male doesn't or hasn't done them thing that he isn't a real man? |

Is that where the phrase "treat them mean, keep them keen" comes from? |

Not at all, but you can't deny they rate quite highly on the Grrrrrrr-ometer of manly jobs. It's down to perception any stereotypes isn't it?
If I was to bring it down to basics I'd say that a real man should be a provider and protector, as per the hunter/gatherer instinct. |

Someone who isn't bound by what society thinks he should be/do ... Someone who walks to the beat of their own drum, someone who is confident in their choices, and sticks to their convictions.
Someone who is non violent, yet not to be messed with, someone who is caring, loving and not afraid to show it.
Someone who can look after themselves and others.
Plus a load of other stuff |

to me a real man is nothing to.do with what your job is as such, more so to do with can you support yourself and your lady if needed and times are hard. someone who will stand up for what they believe is right. I think it is someone who will a least try to protect someone special to them, whether they succeed or not. |

Some might think that being a real man means to be macho and do typical man stuff like a character in some cartoon. That’s all just superficial nonsense to me. Any male can do that.
A real man is one with honour and integrity. One that upholds the name of his family and community. One that contributes to society and takes pride in supporting those around him. |

What's your perception of a 'real man'?"
It's a pointless question to me it would be a man who can look himself in the mirror and be proud of who he is. But that's based on what would make me proud of myself, there will be many men who will be proud they beat thier wife or they managed to fool the benefits people about those BS medical problems.
So my description is meaningless to anyone but me |

A real man to me is someone who has total respect for himself and others, works hard and provides for those dependant on him. Is a "gentle man" when he needs to be but "tough" if the situation warrants it. He should also be aware of and be responsible for the consequences of his actions. |

Just saw this which seems pertinent to me:

Whatever real men are, they are someone who earns my respect. |

Hmm seems there is a little confusion here ?
Ok men in cartoons are just animated pictures not real , little plastic men in box's are toys not real men , those life like Japanese men fuck dolls are not real men although some have a little more personality than some real men . Real men need food and oxygen else they die and will bleed if cut x most real men think they are normal apart from those who think it uncool to be normal which of course is quite a normal position for a real man, or indeed a real woman for that matter .He Man Is Not A Real Man nor is iron man bob our butcher is as is brian |

"A real man holds a door open for a woman, then slaps her arse as she walks past. "
Which, in the eyes of the law, is common/sexual assault.
So it's OK to assault someone just because they're walking through a door and they just happen to be a woman ? Please explain what gives you the right to think/do this. Is it your entitlement simply because you held a door open ?

A real man is someone who should put his family and close friends well being first and he should be capable of taking care of himself. I'm not talking about a man who is clearly under the thumb, those types need a wake up call.
He should have his own mind and speak it but not go out to intentionally offend anyone.
A real man doesn't know he is one really it just comes naturally to him. Many so called men try far too hard to conform just to please those around them but it just makes them look pathetic and false.
