There is no such thing as 'safe' sex...only safer. Everyone in this lifestyle will assess how much risk they choose to take and so long as their risks match up with those they are meeting then so be it. If you prefer to use condoms and dental dams for oral then that is your choice and you need to meet people who do the same. I however have decided that the risk from oral sex is low enough for me to do this unprotected...the GUM Clinic I go to are aware of this as I tell them when I go for testing and they agree the risk is lower, but they do take throat swabs each time.
Take the risks you choose to take and avoid those who you think behave in ways that are too risky for you. Thing is you'll never really know what people do behind closed doors so you just have to protect yourself as you see fit. For me that is condoms for penetrative sex. |
