Never have a hot bath although its nice to have one
You need to lay on the floor with a rung out tea towel from under a cold tap wrapped in a. Bag of frozen peas within it and place it on the area thats inflamed to bring the swelling down,
Repeat this starting with 5 mins placed in area of pain then wait 15 mins then place it back for ten mins at a time keep doing this by swapping the bag of peas for any thing frozen wrapped in the rung out tea towel to avoid frost bite, im not saying it works for everyone but
It worked for me and
Having a bath only sooths it for a very short while then thhe pains back again
