Kik doesn't let you share your number so if you get some weirdo, they wont be able to call your phone. But Whatsapp has better things going on. Its got to be whatsapp for me |

We prefer kik to start with and then move onto whatsapp when we are comfortable with who we are talking to xx also we can use our fab username as our kik name aswell so avoids confusion when we message people xx  |

Kik definitely, as previously said it means you dont have to give out your phone number and BBM is the worst app I have ever had the misfortune to use. Constantly kicking people out of conversations etc. |

Whats app - somehow Kik seemed to attract loads of freaks and people terrified to give out numbers but happy to share body fluids x I deleted Kik - whats App and IOS7 allows you to block people anyway x |

Kik and whatsapp both good, but you can get problems and delayed messages with kik between iphones and andriods, my fave im app is "line" never had a problem with it, and you can make live video calls anywere in the world for free |

Kik to avoid giving out your number but now BBM is on all platforms it has my vote 
You can also call via BBM too so you can physically speak to the person you may wish to meet making sure they're genuine. |

I prefer Kik but I also have watts app and I've had to block someone from my watts app when he got all weird! Haven't been bothered since! |

I don't have trouble sending videos on Kik but then I have Kik video app were you can send any length video not the lame 8 second vids! |

Just more space on my phone clogged up.. I can send a goo minute of vid on WhatsApp |

I had Kik got really p'ed off with people randomly adding me as I used the same name as on here, deleted it and will use bbm or Skype going forward.
I won't give my number out so whatsapp is a no go for me. I already carry a work and personal phone, so I'm not carrying a okay phone as well |
